Shot 80 today in the freezing cold + 20-30 MPH winds. Not too bad in my book.

I see Paddy coming out of Augusta with a top 5 finish. A Paddy/Tiger final pairing would be very fun to watch too.

shot an 88, long course and tough conditions, windy. hit some bogey streches and a double bogey so that kinda killed me.

It hosts the Jon Deere Classic on the PGA tour every year, that might be where you heard it.

88 at TPC at Deere Run :-/. 7000 yards and lots of wind makes things difficult

Just had to pick up a new Nike glove, a box of TM reds, and a bag of tee for the city tournament this weekend. -
Just played Deere Run today with my dad, it was the best course I have stepped foot on. Great views combined with a very difficult challenge made the course very memorable. If you ever get the chance to play it, take it for sure.

Thanks for the info, but there was a change of plans, and we're playing TPC at Deere Run tomorrow instead (couldn't get off till late at Piper). I'll def. have to make it down to Piper Glen though and play some time. Looks and sounds like a really nice course.

Anyone here play Piper Glen before? Headed down there thursday and wanted to see if anyone here had any feedback on the course.

Wow I would have lost it. I never let people I just met on the course use my clubs usually unless we've been talking for a while and he's cool. the only people I even let touch my clubs unless they are family or friends. Rude maybe, but oh well.

Lick Creek is in pretty nice shape. Pretty hard, fast greens, narrow fairways. They just redid the tee boxes, fairways, and green 2-3 years ago and went to bent grass. Prices are pretty good too. I think somewhere like $30-40 (greens fee and single 18 hole cart) for non pekin residents. I would recommend the course.

I had my launcher for about 3 1/2 years before i bought my hibore this year. One of the best drivers i've had during the time I've played.

lol too true. i found some one day growing in some tall weeds, don't remember the course though.

Get rid of the 5 wood. You're 2h would work best in most situations.

I personally don't drink while I'm out on the course, but some of the people I play with do. Sometimes it makes them play better, or it just makes them plain bad.

Do you grip at the end of the club or choke up?

I grip down with my driver about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Everything else is 1/2 to 1 inch or lower depending on distance and lie. -

I have this putter, worth every penny imo. I feel more confident when standing over a putt of any length than with my old putters.
