Hi guys. I went to play my first 18 in a while today. It was the first round that I've played after starting to practice daily. My goal of breaking 100 was pretty close. I feel I have a real problem with my tee shots. I'm not consistent at all. Further I had good putts. I could feel the practice coming through and also my irons felt solid. I only practice with my irons as our driving range is just 220 yards long. Could the little practice of my driving be the cause of that being SO bad?? Hi guys. I'm currently busy with my last exam of High School and my father suggested we go and play some courses as a last father son thing. Im really excited and thought I'd share the build up and experience. Our program looks like this- 26 Nov Pinnacle Point Golf course (http://www.pinnaclepointestate.co.za/) 27 Nov Simola Golf Course (http://simola.co.za/) 28 Nov Pezula Golf Course (http://www.pezulagolf.com/) I've never actually played other courses that our local 9-hole course so this is really exciting as all three of the courses are rated in the top 20 of South Africa. My father plays a bit more and have been around so he chose the courses. Are there any advice on how to prepare? I have never played 18-holes three days in a row. I do practice almost every day. Anything will help actually!

I've been going out to the range quite often the past week. Kept to my schedule in earlier posts and in the afternoons I've only missed two sessions this week. I've improved my full shots extremely well. Yesterday afternoon I went and hit about 40 balls and only sliced one and drew two. Further it went straight. Really straight. I don't know if my practicing in the mornings could have such a big effect in only a week? Or was It just a lucky day? (In the mornings it doesn't go as well as yesterday afternoon). I also went to play 9 holes on Thursday afternoon. I played 50. My fairways hit was about 50% and I could feel the putting practice as my feel on how hard to put helped a lot! On my way to breaking 100!

@ChrisPietersen and myself went to our school to (finally) record our shots. We didn't wear the same clothes on purpose!

Almost like this? Did you use pop rivets to hold the stainless steel together to the PVC pipe? I Googled a bit and found this concept which is used for baseballs in the patent. (I am mentioning the patent as I dont want trouble with copying stuff etc.) http://www.google.com/patents/US20110059814 They used it seems PVC and a rubber ring which wouldn't damage the ball at all? Pretty smart.

Hi guys I'm from South Africa and we love to hunt over here. Obviously different game than you guys from the US. I shot my first trophy when I was 11 so pretty much stuck from then. It isn't currently hunting season as we are entering summer, but this season went well for me. I shot Kudu Antelope and Springbok!

If you use hard wire be aware that the wire can damage the bottom ball. You can maybe put another twist on the wire to avoid letting balls make contact with the cut area.

I'd say Christopher Smith's one is more impressive? That is a really low score. And that is also really fast.

Would you rather advise to practice hitting harder than "60%"? I know you said it would help hitting the ball at 60% even though I cant hit the ball precise, but what would your advice be for a rather new player? Full swing 100% or full swing 60%?

Full shots. Are they considered the whole swing or how hard you try to hit it? If I hit a full swing, but let's say with a 60% force, does that count as full swing practice? Yes I hope to get my score down. At least try to break 100 consistantly. That is my next goal!

Up until that point I didn't have a problem with him. That moment changed my perception of him.

Hi everyone I recently joined TST. I think I am a bogey golfer as I typically score between 100-105? I'm currently working on a few stuff. I go to the range early morning where I start off with a 15 minute putting session. After that I would typically practice chipping bellow 50m for about 20 minutes. And after that I practice full shots for 60-65 minutes. I use the advice iacas (I think that's his username) gave in a thread. Afternoon I also try to put in another hour session at our school's fields to practice 6-PW shots. I currently don't have a fade or a draw (If I am relaxed and don't try to whack it). The problem I have is the ball goes a bit right directly from the club face from where I aim. Probably have to aim left then right? Well that's all for now!

Recently I read somewhere on theSandTrap what the record was for the lowest score with only one club. I wondered if anyone knows what the record is for the fastest 18 holes ever played? And what the guy scored?

From a South African I was so glad when Bubba hit that bunker during the playoff. I was about 23:00 over here and I was a bit sleepy, so I thought there is no way he would be able to play that shot with his feet high up. Turns out he's a lefty. Excellent ending to the tournament though!
