  1. I've heard lately people say I'm a +2 handicap and also heard (minus x handicap) - I've got confused Can someone explain?
  2. Right now I'm playing Titleist NXT Extreme's - Why you say 3 piece?
  3. Thanks. I need that spin Right now on shots 100 and in I'm hitting close to the flag or past a few yards and it hops and keeps rolling to 20 feet past - so instead of a birdie putt I'm lagging for a par. Spin is what I need! Thanks.
  4. I have Taylor Made r7's and my PW is 45 degree and I got a 50 Vokey to fill the gap, now I want to replace my Ping Eye 2 SW with a Vokey. Looking at 56 degree and wanted to get feedback on the spin milled versus regular vokey design -- pros and cons? Thanks.
  5. All this talk of rusting Vokey's and Coking them has got me wondering what a "rusted" one looks like.... Any pictures? Or pictures of "raw" ones...?
  6. I had the same dilemma - my taylor made irons are 45 PW too - I started a couple threads and got some great replies and info. Here they are - http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16095 http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16120 In the end I got a 50 degree Vokey - LOVE IT. Perfect Gap filler... MG
  7. Went to the range this afternoon with my new Vokey... WOW! I've never been able to hit a new club so good so fast. I was actually backing up range balls ... ! Love it so far - now I need a 56 to complement...
  8. UPS guy just dropped off my new Vokey Oil Can 50 deg. AWESOME is how I would describe the look and feel. I'm glad I went "Oil Can"...
  9. When are the new Vokey's coming out?
  10. The fall line of Vokey's are going to have a new finish - black nickel...
  11. I pulled the trigger and bought a 50 degree Oil Can Vokey to fill my gap. Now I'm out for 54 degree vokey to replace my SW. I'm going to wait to see if I like the oil can. I probably will go to ebay for it - the 50 degree was non - existent outside of "new" - so I went to TGW for it. Keep the poll going!
  12. I've read they say they wear and they look like a "raw" wedge... Is this what that looks like?
  13. WOW - its neck and neck. I'm torn!! I like the tour chrome look - but there is something about that oil can look - so unique... hmmmm...
  14. Too much work - please explain?
  15. Getting ready to purchase some and thought I'd poll to see what everyone preferred and why? They do hit the same don't they??? MG
  16. I'm getting ready to purchase a couple wedges - where do you guys suggest for the best price and service? I'm familiar with TGW -- any other suggestions? MG
  17. Thanks for all the responses to the other thread about the 7 degree loft diff. I hit some wedges and have determined that I need a 50 to go with my 45 degree PW - it will serve as my gap 100-110 shot. Now as a follow up - would I be better off to get the gap wedge to go with my r7's and then go specialty wedges at 54 or 56 and 60 or would you go ahead and go vokey for the gap too? Thanks. P.S. I was ready to go vokey for 50 because I didn't think i could find a 50 to match my set but i found one --

  19. Excellent diagram - my r7 almost looks like the one on the left. Very nicely done. My question now is - how can I really calculate my loft if the specs say 45 degrees? Would it actually come off the face like a 47? It seems it would at least be that.. so a 52 would be what I need... MG
  20. I thought about that - it seems i launch my 45 pretty high but I do hit it farther than my old one - that's why I thought a 50 may not be enough Gap. What is the typical gap wedge loft - 52?
  21. I currently have a 45 degree PW (Taylor Made r7) and my Sand Wedge is a Ping Eye 2 from my old set. I believe it is 53.5. I really am finding myself in the gap a lot and am searching for the right gap wedge. I am leaning to a getting Vokey wedges and my question is this - Should I go 50.0 for my Gap then go 56 sand wedge or go 52 for my gap and 56 sand wedge - or even 50 - 54.... ?? I'm torn and really respect the advice i've seen come through here so "Thanks In Advance"... Marshall
  22. I just bought a new set of Taylor Made r7's - from TM site they say my PW is 45 degree and if I get a gap of the same set it will be 50 and the sand wedge 55. I really want to get a vokey wedge and need a gap wedge bad - my question is 52 degree vokey 200 series a good gap wedge and 2nd part is - would the 45 - 52 "gap" be too big...? Then I was thinking of adding a 56 vokey to close out my wedges... ;)
