Go Adams but get some A12OS or CB3's. Those Nike slingshot irons were some of the worst ever produced in the history of golf.

I think they stank dog. Like poop. I had some when I first started then finally switched to a quality rand in Hippo. Now I have Wilson Staff c100's.

8 iron for me. Seems like I use it more than any other iron as it sets up perfect for my second shot with those longer par 4's.

Those Taylor Made ATV wedges with KBS shafts are really nice. I picked up a 54* and 58* and they work well for me and I'm just a beginner.

Thanks a lot mvmack. I did some research and I guess if it says Wilson Staff it is the better version of the plain Wilson name. So I guess I'll get them.

They look higher quality than my Hippos. Would you guys rate these as higher than hippos or about the same. They seem too expensive for wilson.

Yes those are exactly the irons. I haven't heard a lot of negative about them only positive but I wonder why they're soo expensive. Isn't Wilson golf clubs cheaply made like Hippo irons?

The reason I ask is I just started playing golf last summer and I have some Hippo irons which are outdated. I was able to hit the C100 7 iron at a local range and the club felt soo nice and the ball launched high and straight. Does anyone play these irons and can give a review. The guy that works at the range said they are legit and would work great for mid handicap and have enough forgiveness and wide sole for a beginner. Is he trying to work me over or would they be a good investment. The only negative is they cost 500 bucks.

Wow what a horrible play call. That Seahawks OC needs to be strung up by his ankles and bambood to death. I think Pats fans know deep inside they got away with one. Still an asterick due to the inflate gate and all the past cheating scandals. They are the most hated team in America for a reason. But at the end of the day the pats didnt win but Seattle handed it to them.

I never could figure out why OEM's would make a 4 iron and stamp the number 5 on it. Can someone explain this trend to me? I mean if it's got the loft of a 4 iron then stamp a number 4 on it for fock sake. Don't stamp a 5 and claim it has more distance then the competitor.....the again every company does it so.....

Hi guys, I just recently took up this game and was wondering if I should get a lesson or 2 before getting a set or just go and get a box set of top flites at Dicks? I'm really not a 25 handicap but more like a 45 haha. Anyways I'm using my friends set of older hippo irons and Spalding woods with graphite shafts and I keep taking too much earth and scarring up the golf course with my awful swings and I can barely hit it right. When I do it slices right but only when I manage to make solid contact. Should I get offset irons?? Thanks and please don't make fun of me I know I stink. Lol

Thanks a lot. I'm really bad right now. In fact I've only had a hanful of shots that are passable but for some reason I like the sport and am eager to improve. Hopefully I can get good feedback from others especially those with knowledge of rules and swing techniques.

I am brand new to the game so a friend gave me his old set. I am having trouble making ball contact and taking to much divots. I think I should get a lesson or 2. I'm not the most gifted as an athlete. Lol but guys at work asked me to play so it sou ds like a good hooby to get into.

I have Hippo irons and some old Spalding woods. Hoping to upgrade within a few paychecks or so and slowly get a good set or a box set. I've only been playing for 4 months now but it's too cold to golf this winter. Lol

I'm in the same boat. Currently playing Hippo knockoffs but I really like those D or C 100 irons from Wilson. Just can't afford them at the moment. Any advice on a step up from hippos but a step slightly below Wilsons staffs irons?
