The only thing I can think of is mph on a pitch. I'm a skinny 16 year old at 5 foot 10 and 140 pounds and I have bombed a few over 300, but I say i average around 260-280.
27, then i had 24 after the next three put and then 21 then 23. But that was in the two weeks of summer where i golfed every single day and i really dropped my handicapp. Since then I only probably go 3 or 4 holes now and my handicapp is steadily rising. I'm pretty sure I'm almost an 11.5 now
Hole 7, basically an easy par 3 from a steeply elevated teebox that's a make up hole for how much of a bitch the par 4 before it is.
Hole number 4, a medium length par 4, tough hole to play since hitting a drive over 300 can put you in water and a wood shot from the team can leave you far enough back that you have to make a tough shot. Front of the green is sorrounded by a water hazard. Probably the toughest hole on the course.
I have. Last weekend in the club championship we were playing quickly and caught up to the guys ahead of us, and on the 16th hole with is acount a 340 yard blind par 4 and i could see the flag go up and the guys get on there carts and take the path that cuts right and goes around trees till the 17th hole. Well I smoked my drive but i sliced it and went around the trees and i yelled fore, didnt know if anything happened and then we drove down by the green to look for our balls, and I found mine in a really odd place on the edge of the cart path but i was like whatever and i birdied the hole. Then as we finished the round and go back into the clubhouse and i see a huge native guy thats a regular yell BRADY YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS OWE ME A BEER. Turns out I hit him square in the back with a rope. Felt shitty but it was pretty funny.
I pretty much went through the same thing as a kid.
If i were you I'd definately make him learn to bat left handed(might not see as much success at a younger age since lefties usually have the longer, slower stroke but once they get older they usually smash the ball, as how it was with myself and many other kids i know) Do you already have a righthanded set from an older son he could use?
Yesteday a 99. Lets just say balls wouldnt stay in play, let alone on the fairway.
Today a ugly 85.
Should of been close to par with how i drove the ball....
Really. I believe for my dad it was 600 dollars since he taught hte pro in gym class and was his golf coach, but usually 720 dollars and its like 20 rounds and its paid for itself and 40 rounds and its playing for free or something
I'm just curious why some of you guys don't buy memberships? My dad usually saves around 300 dollars and he doesnt golf as much as he used too, he used to save almost a grand i think.
I golf for free because I work, i get free carts as well. So basically nothing other than the gas that it takes to get to the golf course, and maybe balls, but i've only bought a box this year(thank god for all the hacks that buy prov1/x's
) and that was prov1xs for 40 bucks instead of 60(work discount)
High lobs with backspin?
I seem to have lost the touch on hitting lobs from 40 to 80 yards and making them stick. I seem to have better luck playing something from 130 or 140 with a 9 iron since I seem to be putting a ton of backspin on the ball with it.
I was figuring there was something as to that. I took video from today because I hacked up teh course, shot a 99 in the first day of the club championship and I haven't shot that poorly since I was really little. I was so inconsistant and after looking at video I kind of figured out why I think, I think my backswing is a little bit quicker than what I usually did.
