Thanks for the Info, any idea what a good price would be second hand ?? Good condition Titleist 905 T PRO Titanium 9.5 degree *Lamkim mid-size cross line grip in good condition. *New Wilson Prolite+ Stiff shaft made in the U.S.A by GRAFALLOY. *Face in good condition, there are no scratches that will decrease the clubs performance. only minor ones that you would exspect in other places from wear that do not effect performance. *905 T head cover in good condition however one side is slightly worn. *I would rate overall 7-8/10 This is what I am looking at -
that it is time to buy a new driver. Can anyone tell me as I don't know bugger all about modern equipment what the Titleist 905 S Driver 9.5 Deg drivers are like and what the letter designation means?

+1 Going to the Pro Tour is far more then just being a great golfer, I come from a club where a number of golfers break par on a regular basis and have shot in the low sixtys and they too know they could'nt make it on the pro tour. Although we do have one star golfer that is ranked #1 Amateur Golfer at the moment So the dream is certainly possible.

I know this "marketing" thing is thrashed but here is what my personal opinion is ... Playability = What I can personally hit most consistant where I want it to go. So I don't care what catagory my clubs fall into, it is what I like to hit and the only way to find out is to demo different types. My Bag :- King Cobra Small headed 12 degree Driver 3 Wood = 15 degree 5 Wood = 19 degree 3I-SW = King Cobra from about 12 years ago Gap Wedge = King Cobra from 11 years ago All my clubs are regular shafts, 1/4inch shortend ( I first got them when I was 13) I am now 6' tall. I hit my driver 240-260 meters (264-286 yards) and have some great accuracy with my irons. So I don't really think it matters what you have as long as you like/know how to play with them.

Expected ........... but still ouch

I also noticed after yesterdays play that big scores comes from not having practiced safe recovery options, ie. I played a "safe" shot out of the trees only to hit it too far right behind a tree on the other side of the fairway.

3 Golf Swing Tips That Are Destroying Golfer's Swings!
GolferDot replied to lynchjo's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Anyone on this board ever read a book called the inner game of golf ??? One part of it was to tense every muscle in your body as tight as you can at the practice range then stop step up and hit a golf ball. Beginners get caught up in way too much swing theory, I personally believe beginners should get the stance, grip, posture alignment correct, then hit a few thousand golf balls at the range without thought of results to get some sort of consistent action that can then be reviewed. You cannot build the perfect swing from scatch it is impossible because Golf is a game of feel. -
I once asked a buddy of mine if he blinked during his swing, sent him to pieces for about 3 holes. When I play with my Father after he nails a great drive, 270 meters (295 yards) I'll ask him why he did'nt hit driver, and how I am looking forward to drinking the beer he buys me and that's about the worst of it.

The other day I ended up in a 4 that played 5-5-5 and dollar units (side games). The week before with guys that played 1-1-3 and .50c units. Both times I just went along with what the guys played. Funnily enough shooting a low score is more important to me then the money.

If Never Slice Again 1.0 had worked why would the need a 2.0 ?? I find this ironically funny

Oh we share your humour, I just felt the need to invalidate it

Just did a quick google, every PGA tour, ie. European, Asian all have masters tournaments, so it is possible to have several 2008 masters champions in the field.
-
The have a masters on the European tour as well don't they ?

I thought this might be interesting. How does your handicapping system work in your part of the world ??? Entered 22.09.2008 Played 21.09.2008 Course Springfield Marker White (Tees) Slope 111 Adj Gross 82 NZSCR 67.7 (does anone else us scr ??) Hdcp Diff 14.6 Projected 12.3 Course 12 Index 12.4

anyone else notice the younger pros on tour have very little or no left foot flare with the driver ???
-
Hi Fugly, I understand why you think it is still an over the top move but would'nt trying to hit at the ball extentuate the problem not resolve an over the top move ??? ie. when I try to hit at it it goes straight. One other reason why I have my doubts about an over the top move is when I do a Freddie Couples loop, ie. swing upright and loop back to the inside I hit massive hooks. Like they start 20 yards right of target kinda hooks.
-
That sounds like it might just be my problem. Now that I think about it I can almost feel my left shoulder causing the pull. I will give this a try at the driving range. Mr. Wedge I have to say your advice is always great and has helped me dramatically the past few weeks.
-
My Big scores are after a scenario like this when I play a shot where the risk does not equal the reward. ie. not way in hell I can get it to the green but still try anyway.
-
Can you please explain what extending the radius feels/looks like. Is this casting ? I don't think I would be hiting driver 270 yards if I was casting but maybe this is possible. I have looked into the hips and don't think this is the cause, if I am spining out does that mean my shoulders will be open at impact ? Also I seem to hit it straight if I try to hit the ball rather then swing at the ball.

Can I ask how long you have been playing ?? One thing when starting is concentrate on fundamentals ie. grip, stance posture etc. Don't worry about adjusting this part or that part of your swing yet, get those fundamentals correct then hit golf balls to develop feel. I will probably get flamed for saying this but you need to develop some form of consistant swing before you can develop the perfect swing. That takes hitting lots of practice balls just to develop feel ie. don't worry about the results just try to feel how the ball is coming off the clubface.
