I like to make my mental picture of Phil Mickelson on his backswing and Annika Sorenstam on the follow-through. I understand that I have a good-looking swing so something must be working!

No one beats Jan Stephenson in a tub of golf balls!

You made it! Another birthday in the history books! Congrats Erik...I hope you have a special day. I know you couldn't play golf today because it was too cold, but thinking warm might help Hope you get lots of cool gifts. If you contribute your organs to someone who doesn't play golf, will that person then become a "natural" at it?

I recently took a lesson myself, Finn, and discovered that I also have a steep takeaway. My instructor informed me of the baseball swing and to also swing a couple of inches above the golf ball a few times before hitting a ball at the range.

Annika Rules! Okay so I believe (comparing apples to apples) in their respective tours Annika has it a bit easier than Tiger as well. Although the competition is gaining on her and one day she might be toppled from her throne, her footsteps are always following the leaders on Sunday. Woods used to be able to dial it in on Sunday but since he got married his spirit seems a bit different than it once was (even though his stats this season are great). He also doesn't seem to be able to take the bad shots as well as he once did (and he's throwing alot more clubs too!). Annika's divorce actually made her stronger.

Maybe Elin's influence has something to do with it...

I really dig "Caddyshack 2". Jackie Mason is one of a kind! I also like the "Greatest Game Ever Played". I didn't even remember to list "Follow the Sun" until it was mentioned here but that's an oldie but goodie too!

Come on Kugino, you know the answer to that one! IF BBIV was made for the ladies we would see more skin and the guys would be sweaty and playing golf in their boxers, posing all the time for us!

Come on guys...BBV is MADE for the guys! A sexy calendar, all women and a trash-talking one at that! Heaven for guys! Okay, I like it too!

I'm beginning to believe that Michelle Wie thinks she is entitled to what she has gotten (exemptions, big $$$). Without a win, that all may dry up. Wie goes against Pressel next week at the Fields in Hawaii. Whereas Amy Yang won't be there I'm sure the two will meet up in the future. In the Fields competition, my money is on Pressel. She is tuning up this week at the SBS and I'll bet she's gunning for Wie.

The more I look at Divina, the more she resembles Tiger Woods! I think the women are more popular than the guys because it's interesting to see women play good golf. Most of the time, on the course or driving range, the women either have very slow swing speeds or can't hit the ball at all! I'm watching tonight-Valentine's Day. Can't wait to see who gets the boot!

I can't even imagine how Team USA would look in front of the ROW if Big JD walked off the course at the Ryder Cup finals. He would lose his fan base at the very least. Most everyone on television has a totally different side to them than in their normal lives. For example, let's remember Natalie Gulbis' attempt at stardom in front of the cameras with her dad.

The possibilities are endless! Over-the-hill mutant ninja golfing turtle LIVES!

The British Open would be a crowning glory for Phil. He just doesn't like being out of the USA. He's probably too patriotic. I'm betting that he wins the US Open. That would be a great topping for that Master's victory and he gets really close every year.

I hear there will be a blizzard. Barry heard that it will be 50 degrees on his regular golfing day (Thursday). I told him that he won't be playing golf this week. I wonder how far I can hit a golf ball with a snow shovel? Hmmm...

That would make a GREAT avatar! Can you do one of those with a girl face? I think that this season's BBV:Hawaii will be ten times better than last season's show. For some reason the women bring out the "feisty" in all of us!

Mickelson is not playing his best golf. He could not defend his title at the FBR Open and it doesn't look too good for him at this week's Pebble Beach Pro Am. I think Phil is seeking majors and using these tournaments now as "tune-ups". I'm sure, however, that Mickelson will win a few this season. (There's no smiley face here that shows "keeping fingers crossed"!)

Snoogans claimed in an earlier post that Annika "looks like a man". Did you happen to see her at the PGA Merchandise Show? WOW! She really DID look a bit rough with that slicked-back hair and leather jacket look. Back to BBV. I think Nicolle is the next Danielle Amiee. She talks more game than she has. Although I thought Jo would make it farther, that's the luck of the draw. I guarantee there is going to be catfights on the set! Duncan (the girl in pink) seems to have a bit of game. Divina Delasin got a good tip from her sister, LPGA golfer Dorothy, who told her that when the cameras are on Divina should "stand up straight". There's nothing worse than a slump on television. If Divina can remember that as her swing thought it might keep out all of the creeping inconsistent moments during this fiasco. BTW. In honor of BBV I have uploaded my own golf swing to my website. It's a possibility but what happens if you lose? Then you'll be known as the guy who lost to a 16-year-old GIRL!

Korean Amy Yang grabbed the Australian Master's trophy away from names like Karrie Webb and Laura Davies this past week. Although she led for the final three rounds the dramatic finale came down to a playoff with 22-year-old American Catherine Cartwright. She is the first amateur to win an LET championship in 22 years. Yang won't receive any money and the first place $$ goes to Cartwright who was there on an invite. Two other amateurs finished in a top three position; Ruby Tseng, 17-years-old from Hawaii and 19-year-old Tiffany Joh. The girls are just getting younger and younger. I'll bet the LPGA/LET will be handing out exemptions.

I can't wait to see this year's commercias. What't the big deal about Jessica Simpson's ad anyway? And I can't wait to see if the Rolling Stones are the walking dead.

I believe Mickelson choked last week Erik. For what it's worth, I think he's going to win another major this year. Let's see. I think he has both the British Open and US Open left to take to make a slam. My pick is the US Open.
