Why not sell your used 56, and use the money to go toward a 58*, then just have 52, 58? Am i missing something here? Does their standard 58 not come in a high anough bounce option for you? A lower (not too low) bounce on a lob wedge means you can open the face SLIGHTLY (I am not meaning fully blown flop shots, they are difficult to pull off for a lot of people) around the greens. High bounce around the greens makes your wedge way less versatile.

There's a +1 hcap at my club who I have played with once. He used to be a +2. He had just bought a set of irons, so just went round 9 holes hitting them. No woods in his bag at all. He shot 3 under for the 9 holes. Including dropping a 40ft birdie on the par 4 17th, 466 yards. He hit 3 iron, 3 iron. They really are just focused, and mentally sound.

Ping make 2 irons, you will have to do some searchin' though. The G2 2 iron looks like a TREAT to hit, I would love to have the confidence to hit one.

I didn't say that 'getting on the squirt' doesn't make parties fun. I said He doesn't have to drink and DRIVE to have fun. Read back through the posts, you may then understand. Show a little compassion for those who die on roads each year due to fuelled up jackasses making judgements like 'you have to drink and drive to be fun at parties'.

Part of the skill of these tour players is how their caddy and the player work together to figure out a yardage, and pick a club accordingly. I don't see any need to 'speed up play'. Golf is a slow paced psychological and mentally demanding game when you are playing like the pros, and for the amount of money on the line. I don't see this change happening to the PGA tour in the next decade, unless by some crazy occurance, a 3 ball must play a round in under 2 hours. Want faster paced sport? Stick to football. Traditionalist here!

I couldn't give a crap about your little issue, I just don't know why you are lying about your handicap being +4. As of posting this, that is what is says as your hcap. Just remember that putting a plus before the number means your handicap is better than scratch. You weren't +4 the past few weeks, and there's just no way it has gone down to plus 4 in that time.

I have hit a 210 yard 8 iron this season onto the green from rough. Firm conditions too.

I didn't mean we have a drinking and driving when over the legal limit culture here. Just the pub culture after a round. I don't know what it's like in the US, I have only been once.

Play an upmarket course today. Shot +16. Not too bad, but could have been a LOT better. Could have saved 4/5 on greens, and 5 or 6 by playing sensibly. Level par for all the par 3's. Course management couldn't have been a lot worse. One of my last rounds for 6 months!

No the first part of the video isn't Woburn haha!!! The second part with Poults in it is Woburn. Yes, it's considered the one of the best courses in Southern England.

I live 20 mins from Woburn GC, his home course, where this was filmed. I have yet to even play there, but I did go and watch a Senior European Tour Event there.
