  1. Funniest thing ive ever read on here!
  2. If he is smart, he can do it. If he trys to heave the ball in the air, he has no chance. He needs to throw side arm very hard and basically roll the ball around the course. I think you could easily get the ball to go 150ish yards on dry fairways this way.
  3. I yell it LOUD! No need for someone to get hurt out there.
  4. No yardage books at the course either?
  5. find the divot, or general area and drop the ball.
  6. Hope? Nah! Come on man, dont you know everybody on this forum averages around 300. seriously though, yes, i hope. only about 40 more yards to go for me!
  7. Ive known I was addicted since the first time I played a little over a year ago. But when I REALLY REALLY knew I was addicted was about 3 months ago. I hadnt broken 90 yet, and I was having the game of my life. I came into #15 only 9 over! I could play the last four holes 8 over par and break 90. Woohoo! Not so fast... #15=double, #16=triple, #17=double, #18=double for an even 90. I kid you not fellas, I sat down after the round and LITERALLY had to hold tears back! Im 28 friggin years old and Im about to break down crying over a round of golf! Aaaaaand, THATS when I knew I had a golf problem! LOL. p.s. Ive since broken 90 several times including an 81 the other day! (but dont even get me started on that because I 3 jacked 16 AND 17 coming home for the 81)
  8. Ive thought of this as well. I only live about two miles from the course I play. Im sure it wouldnt be that bad. Id say just put your rain cover on tight so as to kind of hold the clubs steady. If you do it, let us know how much of a PITA it was!
  9. He's actually asking a question about chipping, not putting. And what TakeDeadAim is saying, is that a 20 handicap shouldnt be concerned with trying to get all cutsie with chipping and hitting certain parts of the club face. (which i totally agree with) He (or she) should maybe work on length of back swing, or experimenting with different clubs around the greens, or any number of other reasonable chipping drills before trying to manipulate where the club face contacts the ball. Concentrate on hitting the CENTER of the club face. Thats hard enough.
  10. Last week I went out and shot 96, and then two days later had my best round ever an 84! Then just to put the icing on the cake, I went out the day after the 84, and shot 81! It could have been under 80 but I 3 jacked 16 AND 17, and bogeyed 18 as well. It was cool too because the day I shot 81 me and 3 friends played for money, and Im basically a 20 handicap, so I stroked every hole, and double popped the hardest two. My playing partners were two 12's and a 3 handicap. When the day was done, the 3 shot a 77, the 12's each shot 79, and I shot 81! Felt sooo good to go tit for tat with those guys finally.
  11. Tee up a ball and try to chip it off of the tee from various spots on the tee box playing h.o.r.s.e. with my buddies.
  12. Pretty stoked right now. I went out yesterday and I ended up shooting an 84 and beating my friend who is a 12 handicap. I was feeling pretty good being that my best previous score was an 88 and I had only broken 90 twice. (ive only been playing a little over a year) Then today we go out again, and I validated it by shooting an 81!! While Im very happy, it is still bitter sweet. I missed a seriously 1 foot (no joking, seriously 12 f'ing inches!!) par putt on 9, and kinda limped home with a bogey on 16, 17, and 18 with three putts on 16 and 17. I could have shot sub 80 today. Not dwelling on it to much though because I had the game of my live two days in a row! I actually feel like im finally kind of grooving a swing that I can somewhat count on, LOL. I hit 11 of 13 fairways and 11 GIR... NO BIRDIES though, and I had 39 putts!! must......practice...........putting.........
  13. Youre telling me! When Im playing alone, I will look around to make sure someone is at least in yelling distance before I tee off on a par three. LOL. That way I can be like "hey! come co-sign this!" haha!.
  14. Is this thread really happening? Or am I in a dream?
  15. I understand that no matter what club they use on those two holes, thats the yardage they use as the average. I was under the impression that he though EVERY drive on every hole was averaged.
