  1. bit of a slider with my wedges, i tend to catch the ground a little with the bounce of my 56/14 when trying to really open up the face for a flop and bounce into the ball which obviously leads to a bad result :/ so i would probably use the sw for wedge shots with more than a half swing or three quarter swing, and the lw for anything close to flop it up and stop it close. then i would probably use the sw again out of the bunker unless the sand is thick/wet.
  2. btw i probably wouldnt have given the pw away and wouldve added a 54* sw instead, but its alright
  3. you really should have a club every 3-5* to be ideal..until you get up to your wedges, then you can make do with what you have. i would get a 21* 3 hybrid, a 30* iron and a 41* iron to fill those gaps, or something along those lines
  4. I also have a walter hagen bag. its pretty nice, although a seam ripped inside one of the pockets, essentially connecting two of the pockets together, but i did kinda have it overstuffed..oops. Anyways, theyre a pretty good buy and pretty inexpensive..good luck!
  5. go with the cleveland. they have been a big name in wedges for a while now, always some of the best wedges. Those and the vokeys
  6. Trying to decide on a new vokey lob wedge to make some pitch shots easier from firm fairways (my sw is 56/14). Should I go with 60/4 or 60/7? Doesnt seem like it would make that much of a difference to me, im leaning toward going with the 4 just because my main reason for getting it is to get something different than my sw, so why not go as different as possible right? any opinions?
  7. I am leaning toward steel. My driver clubhead speed is 105mph and i use a stiff driver and 3 wood shaft. What is the norm here?
  8. Anyone...?
  9. I mainly need help on loft selection rather than model selection...ive tried just about everything out there. If i need to replace a 5 wood, 7 wood, 3 iron which would be 18-21 degrees of loft, then i guess i should get 18* and 21* hybrids. The 18* will be SLIGHTLY less distance than the 5 wood would be and the 21* would be slightly more distance than the 3 iron would be, so this should fill in the gap nicely..or a 20* for the 3 iron which would be close to the same distance if not a tad longer. I think thats what ive decided. Anyone disagree with me and care to correct me on this?
  10. ok the more i do my research the more i think i should get a 20 and 23 or a 21 and 24. can anyone confirm this? or should i go down a couple degrees on those?
  11. oops i said 4 wood...meant 4 iron** sorry about that
  12. I have 9.5* driver, 15* 3 wood then a jump to 24* 4 wood and i need help filling the gap in between i.e. clubs that would replace a 5 wood and 3 iron. I like the cobra baffler and the callaway big bertha diablo hybrids, however i am having trouble with loft selection. Any advice is appreciated. I cant decide if i need an 18* and 20*/21* or if i should get a 20*/21* and a 23*/24*. What do yall think?
  13. just tried the cobra baffler, ping g10, callaway big bertha diablo and REALLY liked the baffler! didnt like the ping. the diablo was pretty good too.
  14. What about the performance of some of the drivers I've named? Anybody whose tried all of them?
  15. what loft should i get on a driver? right now i have an old callaway big bertha II 9*, so i was thinking 10* to cut out some of the sidespin..
  16. So i am in the market for a new driver and a new hybrid. i am young (college), with high club head speed and above average distance, however i also have above average slice..i pretty much never hook the ball with my driver, but slice frequently. My handicap is probably right around 15. As far as a new driver goes: I like what ive seen and heard of the new taylor made burner, but have some questions about the shaft. i know its a little longer than normal, but thats ok with me because im 6'4" and have my irons extended and inch anyways! I also looked at the titlist 909 drivers or the ping rapture v2. what do yall think for me? i read somewhere that the TM burner has a 1degree closed face, with a slight draw bias, which may help me. i dont want to get a draw version, because im still improving and feel as though i will eventually straighten it out, so i dont want to get comfortable with a draw version to where ill have to use that for the rest of my life! As far as the new hybrid: My iron set only has 4-pw, so i think im either going to get a 3H or 2H (21 or 18 degree...what do yall think?). I love hitting my long irons, unlike most people. I often opt for my 4 iron off the tee instead of my driver because i hit it well, so i want a hybrid to get some more distance! i hit a friend of mines nike hybrid a year or two ago and loved it. i like the callaway big bertha diablo, but also am considering the TM burner hybrid, or even the ping g10. Any help is a appreciated! Thanks guys.
