  1. I'd vote KZG. Great forged irons. Phil used them for 6 months before switching to Callaway (which it is widely known he did to pay off his gambling debt).
  2. The Olde Farm in Bristol, VA. Loren Roberts is a member and said it was the best manicured course he has ever played. Many famous members, all the Mannings, Dan Marino(current club champ)
  3. Anyone else notice the part where they used to say "Can he conquer his demons, or will his demons conquer him?" has been changed to: "Will he conquer his emotions, or will his emotions conquer him?" Just something i caught while watching it today... thoughts?
  4. That is a fairly big gap you would leave between 5i and 3w... Do you find yourself not pulling the hybrids because you are more comfortable hitting the 3w off the deck?
  5. Just have fun, if you hit a bad shot, laugh and shake it off. Try and stick to the same pre-shot routine, if you have one. Stay hydrated.
  6. So Tiger working out every day is detrimental to his swing? He has put on a ton of bulk since his youth.
  7. I carry 4 wedges... 46, 50, 54, and 58 degrees. Wouldn't change it for anything.
  8. Wonder if this is a common theme with tennis players turned golfers. I get a good full turn, but have always kept my wrists locked at the top of my backswing much like JB Holmes. It just feels unnatural to bend my wrists and let my club reach parallel in my backswing.
  9. KZG ZO Blades get my vote!!!
  10. 150 yards and in.
  11. I grew up playing competitive tennis and didn't really pick up golf until i went to college. I had always hacked around at my local club, but never really gave the game a chance like i did with tennis. Now that i have laid down my racquet and replaced that fuzzy green ball with a smaller white one, i can say that tennis has helped me understand golf. Mainly the physics and how the ball reacts to the clubs path and the angle of the face. When i hit a bad shot, i have a good understanding of why the ball has spun whichever way, and can feel what i did wrong. What are some other sports that you have found helpful for your golf game? Any detrimental?
  12. Just got them for Christmas and i love them. I have used the KZG Forged Evolutions for almost 2 years and finally decided to upgrade.
  13. Can you be more specific as to what kind of shots aren't sticking to the green? Is it happening with longer irons and woods, or with shorter irons and wedges too? Also, what kind of clubs are you using, how old are they, and how sharp are the grooves?
  14. Here is my current set up LOVE my new ZO Blades Old set of KZG Forged Evolutions with forged wedges
  15. Or they could keep all those features and make it a PS3 exclusive while adding oodles of other features b/c the new blu-ray discs can hold more than enough information. :)
  16. Probably never happen, just not much of a following. Would love to see them implement a progressive career where you either go to Q school or start on the nationwide tour then work your way up to the pga tour.

    range balls

My local club put in pro v1's for range balls a few years ago... it didnt last long, as all the members would pocket them, the owner was pissed but what should he expect?
  18. I say go for both, i carry a 46, 50, 54, and 58* and love the versatility of having four wedges.
  19. Hit the range today and hit them much better. I could only tell a difference on the 58* Vokey which has lower bounce than my 58* KZG. The other two felt fine, guess my swing was just rusty yesterday after a long layoff.
  20. They are all the same loft, and the only difference in bounce is on the 58*, it has less bounce than my KZG, which probably accounts for the difference between those two but i almost got the same thing on the 54* and 50* as well. Could the actual bounce vary between the two companies? Ill be hitting the range again in an hour or two, so hopefully it was just rust wearing off from a long break. *EDIT* As for the whole "feel" of the two, i have always thought that whenever one thinks of feel, they are really "feeling" the sound. I'm sure if i plugged my ears i couldn't tell any difference but since i have always played forged, the sound of the cast wedge does sound funny to me.
  21. Anyone notice a difference between hitting the two? I have used forged KZG wedges for the past two years but recently got some Vokeys and i cant seem to hit them nearly as well. Almost as if i am hitting them semi-fat, sliding under the ball too much. Then again it could be my swing is off a smidgen, first time on the course in over a month.
  22. I might have the funniest "First Scotty Cameron" story around... Last year on Spring Break I was skiing in Iowa and after a long day we all went to a local Mexican restaurant. After who knows how many margaritas the rest of the night is now extremely fuzzy. Around 10:00 AM the next morning i am fast asleep with no intention of getting up before noon when i get a phone call, which went something like this... "Hey Nathaniel! This is Johnny with golfballs.com calling about your order that was placed last night." My response... What is this guy talking about? "Yeah, it seams we have an issue with the Scotty Cameron Putter you ordered. In that particular left handed model we do not currently offer the heavy version in that length." At this i was now extremely confused, being that i am RIGHT HANDED. Long story short, i switched the order to the right handed Studio Select Squareback heavy model and it arrived back home a week later. Love the putter and am glad that i finally ordered one .
  23. I love my Squareback :) i got they heavy model though, 34 inch
