  1. I got quoted for a set of MP58 4-PW with an upcharge for Project X or KBS shaft for 725-750 I forgot the exact price.
  2. The kick point and torque are different for the made for titleist version and regular version on Titleist's website.
  3. Looks like people have started receiving their orders.
  4. My Adidas ADComfort shoes are great. Even after walking 18 my feet are tired just from the walking, but not sore at all.

  6. Well my ballstriking isn't superb but its not bad at all. Of course there are times when I'm off but not anything major enough to make me want to shy away from a player's iron. Even if I only hit 5 out of 10 swings really well, it makes those 5 well struck shots that much more enjoyable for me. Having that feeling of hitting it really well and working to improve on the bad shots is what I enjoy about golf. Plus my misses aren't so bad that I'm severely penalized for them. Having said that, I do agree that I shouldn't punish myself TO much so I'm leaning more toward the AP2 for that little bit of extra forgiveness. Hitting these I still feel that great sensation when hitting a really good shot but enough feedback to let me know when I could've made a better swing. Thanks for the input everyone. I still haven't made up my mind yet but I am leaning more toward the AP2.
  7. The reason is that I hit the AP2's better then the AP1. I also hit the TM Tour Preferred better then the Burners. For whatever reason I just strike the ball better when I'm not hitting a GI iron with a big sole.
  8. Ok I was lazy and didn't change my handicap but just to clear it up I've edited it. I know you're not trying to be rude. Your input is appreciated. My money is spent on lessons. I have one almost weekly and practice anywhere from 1-5 times a week. My iron play is the best part of my game. My 100 yards in, including putting is also pretty good. It is my woods that kill me the most. My driver could also be better but I'm working on both of those.
  9. Those are some beautiful clubs. If you have enough time to dedicate to practice I say you should get them. As for me, I think I'm going to get the AP2. It will be more forgiving on mishits and it is cheaper. If I really want it, I can trade in for or get the MP58 later.
  10. I don't think either club is over my head. I can hit either fine. Yes I might make mis hits once in a while but that just means I need to practice some more. For whatever reason I hit the GI irons about the same if not a little worse.
  11. 58's would be retail cost...AP2 I have a friend who gets a deep discount from Titleist.
  12. I know what you're saying and the answer is the MP58..but how much more is the question. Both are great. Anyway, its not time to pull the trigger yet so I have some more time to mull it over. Thanks for the input though. It's definitely appreciated.
  13. Yea I totally understand what you're saying. Fortunately here in So Cal I can play year round. I practice more then once a week and play at least 2 times a month so I get a lot of time in. I also still have fun being out there with friends anyway even if I'm not playing well. If my round is not going well then I usually just switch my focus towards practicing then trying to shoot the lowest score I can. Either way I still enjoy the time out there.
  14. I'm not a 27 I just haven't changed it. My Iron play is the best part of my game. I don't want something Game Improvement. For some reason I don't hit them that well and I don't really like the look. I also like the fact that when I mess up my shot with a players iron I know that it was my fault and what I did wrong so it helps me to correct my flaws and play better. In short it just feels that much more rewarding when I hit it well.
  15. Well the cost difference is about $500 so its a pretty big thing to consider which is why I'm having such a hard time deciding.
  16. It is the AP2's that I am interested in and I have not hit the new 710 version yet.
  17. I just hit the MP58 and 2008 AP2 both with PX 5.5. All I can say is WOW. Both of these irons felt amazing. The MP58 felt a little bit more buttery but the AP2 still felt great as well. The top line of the MP58 was a little thinner and looked a little bit better at address. Both felt great but I'm not sure which one to get. I can get th AP2 710 or 2008 AP2 for much cheaper then the MP58 so that might be the deciding factor...but I'm still on the fence and I think I want the MP58 just a bit more...I also might be able to get some Bridgestone J36 CB for REALLY cheap so if that happens then I'll get those, but right now I'm still waiting on those...If I can't get those though I'm really don't know what to get...AP2 or MP58...WHAT TO DO! SUMMARY: Like both the MP58 and AP2 but liked the look and feel of the MP58 a bit more. I can get the AP2 for MUCH cheaper then the MP58. Don't know what to do!
  18. You also have a different shaft then the ones that you were testing out. The weight and feel difference of the shaft plus your anxiousness about the clubs could have thrown you off a lot.
  19. Maybe try adding lead tape to the head to adjust swing weight?
  20. Congrats on your purchase...Can't wait to get new irons!
  21. I think it depends on how they feel for you. I tried an iron that was +1/2" and it felt wierd for me. At address it didn't feel comfortable so I ended up having to choke up about 1/2" in order to make it feel right otherwise I ended up chunking it more frequently. This was just demo-ing the club though so it might be something that you could get used to?
  22. Does anyone know what the main difference between the flighted and non flighted are? The PX 5.5 non flighted shows a low-mid trajectory and the PX 6.0 FLIGHTED also shows the same low-mid trajectory.
  23. Did you try the PX flighted or non flighted? Is there much of a difference between the two?
  24. Where are you seeing the new set for under $300?
  25. The black series does look nice. I wish the shafts were black like the Adams blades.
