  1. What Kind of players Irons do you recommend? My Handicap is coming down, and Irons are my strong suite. I've already hit a couple and they really were not as difficult to hit as I thought. (maybe because im playing with 10 year old irons?) Im currently looking at mp-52's mp62's and titleist ap2's. Is there any other iron you would recommend?

    oh it feels good

Everyone has them at times, Even Tiger makes doubles and triples every now and then.

Yeah I only had one double bogey the whole round. That was really why I shot so low, I usually have a lot of pars and birdies and then I triple a hole. The reason I got a double is because of how slow the people were playing in front of me, my temper got the best of me.

68.6/117 It is sort of an easy course plus my scores earlier this year were 10-15 strokes higher. My handicap has dropped by 4 in like 3 rounds.
  5. I broke 80 today, shot a 79. Best score by 3 strokes.
  6. Yeah I'm not that bad of a putter I just suck at reading greens, but I guess that comes from experience
  7. yeah sadly i practice my driver and long irons the most, guess i know better now!
  8. Guys if your left arm bends in the backswing, would that cause you to cross the line?
  9. Some days its worse than others but I am fighting my right arm straighting at impact causing me to hit off the heel. Does anyone know any drills or tips that help with this?
  10. Thanks for all the tips, my course managment can be bad sometimes, I've only been playing a year and my uncle has pretty much been my coach because there really isn't a good pro around. He says short game is all feel so he tells me to just practice and it will eventually become natural but it seems it rarely does. Yes most of the time I will be 100 yards and in because of a short par 4 but im not hitting a long iron off the tee because my short game is that bad, I rather learn how to hit a 50 yard shot. I don't lay up because when I catch one it goes 275-280 but I average around 250. I'm young and my thick head couldn't live hitting long irons on drivable par 4's.
  11. well for fat shot i seem to always try to help the ball up, and whenever i do that i think about keeping everything level throughout the swing
  12. I really need help on my 100 and in game. I am hitting the ball pretty solid with my driver and irons but my short game is costing me strokes. It seems like I get the ball closer with a 150 yard shot than a 50 yard shot. My putting is not that bad but my pitching and chipping is terrible. Does anyone do anything different when struggling with their short game, or have any good drills?
  13. I am 15 and play high school golf as well. My advice would be to just let him have fun, I know I play best when I stop worrying about how i'm playing and I just try to have fun. I was 11 over through 6 holes yesterday and I thought I had no way of qualifying for our match Monday, and what do you know I finished birdie, bogey, birdie, and I qualified by one shot. Your son has all the time in the world and once you think about that when you play, you do so much better. I love playing golf because all we do is play 9 holes with our buddies and leave. Some of my best scores have been when we're making each other laugh in our back swings.
  14. Thanks for all the help guys, I was playing 9 holes today and by the end of hole number 5 I figured out I was straighting out my right arm causing me to hit it off the heel. The last 3 holes I finished birdie, bogey, birdie, and I only bogeyed the hole because I nailed my pitching wedge and hit it over the green.
  15. I think that might be it. My Uncle has said sometimes it looks like im standing to far away from the ball with my driver.
  16. Yeah my high school team isn't that good. I shoot low-mid 80's on a good day and im like our 5th or 6th best player. I just started playing this year and my goal is to be a 5 handicap by next season. But I think something might have been wrong with my driver. Recently I hadn't been hitting it that much further than my 3 wood, even on a good one. Today I skyed one and I slammed it down, and it broke. I didn't even slam it that hard so im teeing off with a 3 wood for a while. Im getting fit for my next driver, and im going to make sure I get a more forgiving driver this time.
  17. Yeah in the launch monitor I consistently hit the ping g10 10 yards further than the new burner
  18. I can hit the ball pretty good when I catch it but i've read my driver isn't the most forgiving, and I struggle to hit it solid every time. What Driver's have good forgivness without sacrificing distance?
  19. I have the same 3 wood as you do and even on a good day I will only hit my Driver 15-20 yards further. That big bertha is a great 3 wood
  20. Im having a problem hitting off the heel of my driver. Im hitting everything else solid pretty much but It seems I always hit it off the heel even when I draw the ball. It really has be puzzled does anyone know what I might be doing?
  21. Yeah my friend on the golf team has a one and he loves it, but both me and him are some what biased in favor of mizuno so I wanted some reviews. I would get a 3 wood but I love my callaway.
  22. Golf ball fitting has always interested me, would you all recommend it?
  23. I am looking at a new 5 wood and already have a Mizuno driver. Does anyone have one, and if so how good is it?
  24. im 6'2" and use a 35" putter
  25. yeah as long as the grooves are good you will be fine
