  1. I have been enjoying learning about and implementing this swing. Two of the components I have been unsure about are the hip slide and pushing off the ground on the downswing. I understand the theoretical imperatives, but how do you get a feel for the rate of moving your hips forward and pushing off of the ground ? Especially with pushing off, it seems to be on a knife's edge. If you push off too quickly you can top the ball; not quickly enough and you can hit it fat. I appreciate any help.
  2. Quick question. With your regular clubs , are you suppose to hit the ball slightly higher than center, or is the tour striker just designed that way for instructional purposes?
  3. I'm certainly no expert, but I've been doing a lot of work with the stack and tilt. You might want to consider straightening your back knee on the back swing to allow for better/easier hip rotation.
  4. I think so. As a true amateur, I can tell you even just having a relatively simple, complete swing to work on helps with consistency. It's a lot easier to learn than trying to accumulate a bunch of tips and put them together yourself.
  5. Haha, good point. It's always amazing how much the feel of the swing is different from what it looks like. In any case, I hope it will be a lot more difficult to overswing if I keep my swing in.
  6. It looks like I need to keep my swing more inside/my right arm close to my rib cage at the top of my swing, right? Thanks for pointing that out.
  7. Hey all, I'm looking for some help on my swing. I'm trying to follow the S&T; method (even if it doesn't look like it haha), but I'm also open to general advice. Currently my irons are decent, though they feel a bit weak, but with a high flight path. However, I have started slicing and hitting pop-ups my driver a ton, no matter how much I put into it. I have provided two videos (different perspectives and different shots). I hope they give a good enough view. Thanks for any help
  8. Hey, I need some help with fixing my S&T.; On all of my irons and my driver as well, I tend to pop up the ball (at least it looks that way) and the ball drops, without rolling much. I'm not 100% sure how to describe the ball flight, but it starts out to the right and comes back, drawing at the end. For example, on my 7i I'd estimate the ball goes around 145 carry and rolls 5-10 yards after that. Finally, I should mention I'm having the most trouble with my driver (the ball is going way too high). Thanks for any help.
  9. Hello, I am looking to buy new clubs. I will probably have them for a while so I guess they should be beginner-intermediate level. What exactly should I look for in irons and woods for my level? Also, how long should clubs be relative to your height? Thanks!
  10. 1. Drop average score to low 90s 2. Play more consistently, especially on the fairway 3. Make sure to have fun
  11. I am a full time student. For some income, I do part time research and the like.
  12. I am going to have to go with Tiger. While Jack was certainly great, you can't compare the level of competition yesterday with today.
