  1. I own one and love it my putting has improved since picking it up last year because it seems to fit my stroke well and my confidence has increased from my old blade style putter. Selecting a putter is very personal, so if you keep going back to it and can afford why not pick it up.
  2. He said it's a D3 school, they don't really recruit or give any scholarships for athletics. I would think if you got to a 5 you might have a shot of making the team, but its hard to tell without knowing the level of competition they play against. Look at the scores posted online from the current team and see how you stack up. In the end the only way you'll really find out is to show up and see if you make the cut.
  3. In my experience it depends where you go. Most places will have you hit a bunch of different clubs before you start the fitting session so you can narrow down what you want to a few different clubs. Then you go to the fitter with your selection and they will help you decide which of the clubs you've selected work best for you. Once you've made that decision they will work on making adjustments to the irons you selected to make them fit you best. It very important that you bring in your current irons so you can compare them to the new ones you are purchasing. Do some research before you go so you have an idea of what irons you would like to try.
  4. Enjoy your bag then, I have no complaints about mine so far. I need to find myself someone in the industry so I can get some discounts, then again I replaced my entire set up this year and if I spend anymore on golf anytime soon my girl friend may murder me.
  5. If its really deserted and you have the room I would hit real golf balls. If you blade on you may have to walk a little further to find it but I would rather get the feel of hitting a real ball. It does sounds like a great idea to improve your bunker skills over the off season.
  6. The 14way is a great bag and I love mine, but if you want to save a couple bucks get the sun mountain Four 5 it's essentially the same exact bag you're just not paying the premium for the Titleist name.
  7. I think it's more common for people to dislike a particular brand. I would fall in that category, when buying my new clubs this year I gave every brand a fair shot except for Nike. I'm sure they make very nice clubs but I refuse to let the swoosh enter my bag. I just find it hard to trust a company that makes crappy shows to make my expensive golf set.
  8. I have 2 sets but only because I travel for work and keep one set at work and the other set at home. The set at work are just my old clubs I've replaced over the years.
  9. I bought mine from a local shop and it came with the studio select head cover.
  10. If you have to use an indoor launch monitor the only real way to ensure accuracy is to bring in your current club and compare it to the new club you want to get. I wouldn't want to drop a bunch of money on new equipment if it doesn't perform better then my current gear.
  11. You should stay with a regular shaft with your current swing speed. Even with your old swing speed of low 90s a regular flex would fit you.If you are really stuck between the G20 and the Razr X get on a launch monitor and find out which one you hit better.
  12. Love it, very solid club. Makes a great sound when you hit it. I would highly recommend it.
  13. Decided to upgrade the whole set this year
  14. Try on as many pairs as you can. Shoes are very hard to recommend because what fits me may not fit you. I bought a pair of Adidas tour 360s on someone's recommendation had to give them away because they gave me blisters. It was hard because I loved everything else about those shoes but the blisters were just to much. Picked up a pair of ecco bioms (with spikes) and can tell you I won't be switching brands anytime soon.
  15. Scotty Cameron California Fastback, I rolled almost every putter in the shop and kept coming back to the fastback.
  16. Yes, I have a pair. My Adidas tour 360s gave me blisters so I decided to give the eccos a try. Very comfortable shoes, very light, and the yak leather is super soft. They also have fantastic arch support, I don't know if I've ever had a pair of shoes with such good arch support.
  17. Made more progress in upgrading my set. Picked up a Titleist 910f 3 wood, and a 20 degree ping I20 hybrid.
  18. Decided to upgrade most of my set up this year: Titleist 910 D3 Ping I20 Irons Golfpride New Decade Multi compound grips (Couldn't Stand the stock ping grips for some reason) Will more then likely replace everything else this year as well
  19. My girlfriend started playing about a year ago she doesn't get to play to often but she does make very solid contact when she plays. She just picked up a lady burner yesterday and can't wait to use it.
  20. I know I prefer to have the wedges up top, plus the pockets are set up in a strange pattern so woods on bottom wedges up top looks better to me
  21. and my personal golf ball retriever
  22. Nice job, what the heck anytime I play a scramble the longest drive prize is never anything nice lol.
  23. Well i know some people say to use vinegar to take rust off. My father tried this on his all black scotty and it took the rust off, what he wasn't aware of was that it would take all of the black finish off his putter as well.
  24. Sorry about the lack of embeding, any advice on any drills i can do to fix this problem
  25. Its funny that you should say that because I have also been fighting shanks, started with just short pitch shots now sometimes i'll even shank 3 quarter punch shots.
