  1. I'm also in your situation. Learned how to play golf righty because that's what was around the house when I was younger. I don't see any problems although I still putt better left handed because of the dominant eye. IDK my base of hitting around the back yard for probably 5 years was right handed, maybe I'd be better left handed but I'm pretty satisfied with progress at this point. I also bat right handed in baseball. Same everything for me, exactly except I've never snowboarded. I believe you meant ambidextrous.
  2. Haha I was just joking, I had a round like that friday. Shot in the 90s I think, but just really enjoyed myself out with a friend and brother. Great day, great course, felt great. Didn't play so well but still some of the most fun ive had this summer.
  3. You been puffin ganj broski?
  4. I lift 5x a week, not really for golf more for myself to let off steam, improve body, etc. I probably lift "too heavy" for golf but like I said I lift for myself and have been doing it much longer than playing golf. Lately I've been focusing on squats as well as abs to improve core and add driving distance. I have a 4 day split - chest/triceps, back/biceps, quads/hamstrings, and shoulders/abs. After every workout I run 3-4 miles, sometimes I'll mix it up do bike or elliptical or something. With this and a solid diet I've dropped 25lbs over the last two and a half months.
  5. try driving yhe green on a short 4 and four putting!
  6. I haven't done it yet, just didn't want to spend the money. The shaft is too whippy and I've had some inconsistency... I plan to go with a pulled nv65 though because I know it works for me. I've used my brothers driver like I mentioned earlier, and I don't have the funds to try out several so I'm picking one that will at least provide an improvement.
  7. Probably average 27 holes a week, plus at least one trip to the driving range. About 1 hour putting/chipping, 1 hour irons, 1 hour woods per week. I play twilight, walk because its cheaper, and play wherever I can get the best price.
  8. Something is needed to draw the 20+ men's crowd, which obviously drives the popularity of men's sports. Some sort of pga/lpga interaction (big names only of course), sex appeal, rivalries, personalities (think TO/Chad Johnson in the NFL). These could all be seen as good or bad for the sport, but all will increase popularity, which in turn increases money, and cycle continues. On a side note, I absolutely HATED watching golf on TV until this year. When you've played it, it gains so much more interest. Of course I watched the occasional Tiger victory and the ESPN segments, but that's it.
  9. Step back all the way. Take 2 weeks off, hit the range saturday and sunday, stick with the league, and just look at things from another perspective. It is EXTREMELY easy to get caught up with the game and just lose your hold on it, believe me I've gone through it pitching in baseball the same way. Make sure practice time stays structured and you're always working to get better. Good luck!
  10. 1) Well kept landscaping, overall just not in "bad" condition 2) Elevation changes, water, sand, trees 3) Natural setting - not just jammed into a square plain.
  11. These are irons you're talking about, correct? They don't have graphite shafts, do they? You are correct most likely about over compensation, perhaps putting in some time to correct the ball flight is necessary, if these clubs were fitted properly. I'd say that's more than likely the solution, but if you aren't confident the next step is have a lesson and let a pro who knows what he is doing take a look at your swing.
  12. Putter yes, hybrid yes, I see an improvement in both areas. The hybrid will bring a new dimension to your game and the putter is a definite upgrade. As far as the wood, I'd say hold off. That wood isn't really an upgrade from what you've got, and you may as well hold on to your money for now. Wedges, the set is nice because it gives you a nice 4 degree step from pw to lw, but you might want to save money for nicer wedges such as older clevelands, vokeys, or x-tours. Just my opinion of course, if you don't see yourself upgrading again then go for that package.
  13. I only used the driver on holes where I was comfortable today, for example open fairways used the driver, then the other four I used the 5 wood, which I can easily hit straight.
  14. I would be extremely surprised if they didn't ship today, don't sweat it. Often the shipping info is delayed, sometimes up to a day.
