Not every swing change will yield an immediate improvement in your game. There is always adjustment periods. You want to get better over the course of the season, a few bad rounds in a row doesn't indicate anything.

Your problem is that you are hitting your woods and driver. Trey hitting your irons until you solve your issues with your woods/driver. Seriously though nobody can tell unless you post a video or give a better description...

3 hybrid slightly ahead of of where I play my 4 iron, nice decending blow and shallow divot. I play a baby fade on mine to minimize misses, as it has a slight offset. It isn't something I'm 100% confident in, but it is as reliable as any out of the rough. -

True but at that point someone should be taking lessons or at the range and not on a course. Or on a par 54.

Pace of play has more to do with what is going on between your shots than your handicap.

I always see the same guy at the range with an axe chopping like swing. It is as though he is taking a vertical swipe at a log. He only uses his driver and every shot is 25 yards out and 75 yards right. I feel bad but I'm not about to just go give him advice..

My best advice would be to ensure a consistant setup and maintain your posture while swinging.

My driver recently broke down on me, so it has been a few weeks since I have had one of my own. Last game I was 3 wood all day off the tee and I hit more fairaways than in any previous game. My misses were also more manageable. I may finish this season out using just the 3 wood and see where it takes me.
