I think you are over thinking it. I'm really glad you're doing so well with em! I need to get a few lessons too. I had a guy tell me that I have the best softball swing he's seen in a long time. Damn!
-
I hope you get em. I love mine!

I haven't heard that but it doesn't surprise me. They've been around for a while now. I guess @PingLuvR and I got lucky getting ours.

That's my next step too. I've never had lessons but I'm sure ready for some! -
As Tony the Tiger says, "They're great!!" Aren't they the best?!?!! I've had trouble in the past with my lob and sand wedges, around the greens, but not anymore!! I'm so pleased with how they're working out! Now if I could just learn how to play this silly game!!

Great minds ...

Don't worry, Buddy. You made a great decision. I played Callaways for years and never really liked them either so I traded a guy for a set of PING ZINGS. The ZINGS made a huge difference but now I wanted more of a cavity-back so I stuck with PING and got the G30s. I got a good deal too. My whole set, with Winn grips (extra $), was $650 out the door! I'm pleased with it!

I gotta tell ya ... I absolutely LOVE mine!! There's a few things to get used to still but I am really pleased with em. I hope you like yours just as much. Lemme know how you do. Good luck!

Both times I broke 90 were the times I also hit eagles. Just a good hole, I guess. -
Well, I got another eagle (2nd) and broke 90. (88) Does a scramble count on Tournament Winner? Just a thought.

That is some sound information and I will definitely listen to your requests. I too am battling a 50+ year old body that was beat up pretty bad from playing years of team sports. It gets intetesting, to say the least. I also just picked the sticks back up in July after a 15 year break. Almost like starting all over again. lol Hell, it gets pretty rough sometimes, ya know. Thanks again! -

I tell ya what ... How can a person hit eagle and still end up with an 88? (I've done that twice now, these last couple of months) It's especially frustrating when one of the guys, that never hit better than 4 pars, ends up beating you!! ARRG!! That's the "poor me" addition of this reply ... When a guy, who has played on and off since he was 5, tops out between 88-102, what kind of lessons should he be looking for? -
Thank you so much @RandallT. You've been a real help.
-
Hey, @iacas. From what I understand, you're the achievement hander-outer? What do I need to do?
-
Gosh, I hope so.

I actually had these grips on my old clubs. Got them in June and have played every Tuesday since. I've played them in hot, cold, dry and wet and they are very comfortable and consistantly tacky. I haven't noticed any worn spots on my woods yet. I hear they don't last as long as the firmer grips but it'd be pretty hard to go to anything else. We'll just have to see how consistant they stay.

I ordered my G30s on Jan 16th and was supposed to get them on Jan 23rd but I didn't get them until Feb 3rd, which was Saturday. A little frustrating since I sold my old clubs on Jan 25th. lol I now have my G30s (4-pw, uw, sw, lw, 1"+, with stiff shafts and Winn oversized DriTac grips) I hit em at the range Saturday and was pleased with em. Played 9 holes yesterday and am tickled!! They hit high and long, and are VERY forgiving!! I think I've found the clubs I'll use for a long long time!! Thanks @PING and thanks, @PatrickHanson at The Golf Nut in Ft. Smith, AR. I agree. They show their sexyness with the way they play.

Went late and played 9 with my brand new G30s. Shot a 47 on a more difficult course than I'm used to and haven't played in 30 years! I'm very pleased with how I played and with the new clubs!
-
Well ... I matched my all time best today with a 39-49=88.The front 9 was hot with 4 pars and a birdy! The back 9 was just bad! I was also playing with borrowed clubs because PING is a week late sending my new clubs. (Whole other story) Any way ... It was a good day!

I will. I got my g30s on sale for $499 (4-pw), new. Not a bad deal, I thought.

@dkolo, I sure do appreciate all your help. I knew this was going to go a great place to be. As far as the 4 iron is concerned, I don't mind using it when it's needed. (My old set had a 3 and a 2 iron, which were used very little) It really fills the gap between my 5 iron and Heavenwood. A hybred does sound like a good idea though. My wedge game needs LOTS of work so hopefully the set wedges will work. The blade wedges were 100 bucks a piece and the g30s were 75. I got REALLY close to the end of my budget so I went with the set ones. I'll post my efforts with my new clubs as soon as I get em! (Hopefully tomorrow) I feel like a little kid before Christmas!!!

Haha. Maybe so.

My best round of golf I actually scored 2 "Personal Bests". On 12-21-16, my buddies and I were playing our regular rounds at River Valley Golf Course in Dyer, AR. On this day I hit my first birdy in 15 years and 2 holes later hit my first EAGLE!!! I also shot my all time low score of 88! I finally broke 90 and won the round!! Good day!!
