  1. your grip needs work. the stronger you take your grip the more you're going to slice it if your wrists are staying cupped and not flattening out. all you're going to do is cut across the ball. weaken your grip a whole lot and practice letting your left wrist flatten out. try chipping with your pitching wedge on to a practice green and feel that left wrist leading the downswing while your upper body turns to square the club.
  2. and texas wins the canadian open... congrats, sean!
  3. how do the courses and/or golf teaching pro's even make money if the season is that short? surely the season is at least 7/8 months long? then there's the indoor facilities as well.
  4. .... playing on the PGA tour? all the courses up there, one think at least a handful would be playing here or in europe. what's the deal?
  5. did the little baby get his feelings hurt by the big bad french man? i'm sure the french were rude to you, and i wouldn't blame them. you're the american tourist who goes to other countries, doesn't bother to learn any of their customs or language, and expects them to show you where mcdonalds is when you ask them in english. as a matter of fact, i used to live in france, and have encountered americans such as yourself with no respect for other cultures. and it's damn embarrassing. so do the rest of us a favor and stay in west virginia next time.
  6. imho, you're not getting your hips turned enough. look at any tour at impact and their back hip is in line with the ball, yours is still way behind. i wouldn't worry about your hips moving forward so much as i would your hips turning. if you get a proper hip turn then your hips will automatically move forward because your subconscience isn't going to let you hit yourself in the leg.
  7. honestly. go see your nearest pga professional.
  8. 5 points if you can point out france on a map, dumbass. it seems that you are the disgrace to society. and if you did your homework, you'd know that america would have lost the war for independence if not for france. so stfu and go back to your log cabin and practice your banjo.
  9. hit a ball
  10. i'm not really sure what "pure natural golf talent" is, because golf is one of the most unnatural sports their is. the best athletes out there right now are probably DJ and alvaro quiros. the golfers with the most innate ability to play golf are arguably john daly, lee trevino, and greg norman. it just so happens that tiger is a great athlete, naturally flexible and strong, and has a mental toughness that nobody else does. pur
  11. i recently lowered my putts per round to 18 with the dr. feelgood putter.
  12. wow. that was funny/weird/terrible. i really don't know why this guy is so popular, i've not been impressed by his vids on youtube. he's like one of those holdouts in the 1700's still claiming the earth is flat. i always open the face when i'm going to hit a draw. if i don't, it's a pull.
  13. seriously? you're going to lambast people for calling bubba out and having a laugh at DJ, then completely negate all you said previously by making an ignorant claim like "90% of southerners have a sleepy look." i'm seriously lmao. i've lived down here my whole life, traveled to all the southern states, and not once have i remarked that 9 out of 10 of us have a "sleepy" look. but of course, i could be mistaken, perhaps my heavily ladened lids are preventing me from noticing this obvious fact.
  14. i wish more of you guys would participate. i was trying to get a feel of what different regional dishes people eat in different parts of the world. thanks for the responses so far.
  15. if you're in a good position at the top and deliver the club to the ball in the correct sequence and on plane, does it really matter what you do in the takeaway? i've seen some crazy take aways in my day from some really good golfers. if it helps your rhythm and allows you to get the club in a good position up top, why change it?
  16. bitter? who's bitter? not sure where you came up with that observation. i'm glad for clarke just as i'm sure most on this site are, this win solidifies his place in history as a great champion.
  17. it's your swing plane, not your grip.
  18. yes, and that's exactly why i said a great champion is known for winning a major, not for winning a ryder cup. the more majors the europeans win, the more important they will become to europeans.
  19. it's a great story, and the ryder cup is a great event. but at the end of the day, golf is an individual sport, and those individuals are judged based on their individual triumphs.
  20. well, that's probably because there is only one european in the top 10 major winners
  21. when they talk about great players, you never hear about what so and so did in the ryder cup.
  22. i'm rooting for the beard and the bjorn this weekend. i would love for mr. watson to win, but i'm not going to get my hopes up like i did at turnberry. that was a huge letdown.
  23. 95? that's fall weather down here. make sure you have a couple bananas or some nuts. your muscles need protein, and stretching. long distance runners often have inflexible leg muscles.
