  1. what's up with the first tee announcer?
  2. i call BS as well. the lowest i've ever seen was a 14 under 58 when i played in a 4 man scramble. two of the guys on my team were d-1 college golfers, and the other guy was around my skill level. there is no chance that a bunch of scratch golfers, let alone mid-low handicaps are going to go out and shoot that score. this is precisely why i now refuse to play in any kind of scramble. i hate thieves, and cheating in this case amounts to theft. disgusting.
  3. looking better. personally, i think you would benefit from a portable home traction device. ;)
  4. westwood employs one of two strategies when in majors. 1. he plays pedestrian for the first two and a half rounds, then somewhere on the back nine on saturday he goes on a tear for a round and a half and comes up 2 strokes short. 2. he plays fantastically the first three rounds, then decides on the 3rd hole that he couldn't be bothered and drops 5 shots, only to finish 2 strokes short. perhaps this week he's going with #1
  5. there's a course near my dad's house where i play from time to time. and for some silly reason, someone decided a 265 yard par 3(from the tips) was a good idea.
  6. had to look up "brunswick stew," i'd never heard of it. looks a bit like gumbo with different vegetables. and what's with carolinians and their vinegar? why would anybody wanna ruin good meat by putting vinegar on it? ;)
  7. ryan moore is wearing a hoodie.
  8. thank god chris berman isn't commentating today. i'm not sure i could handle his boisterous, annoying voice again.
  9. get ready for a smorgasbord of "trap draws" and a host of other meaningless platitudes. if the wind is kicking high, my pick is jb holmes. if the wind is not a factor, i'm going with rory.
  10. nice man... feels good, you'll never forget it.
  11. ...you get to choose what's being served for dinner. what do you serve? my menu: crawfish and shrimp etouffee turnip greens with turnips whipped sweet potatoes jalapeno cornbread sweet tea sorry fuzzy... no watermelon and fried chicken.
  12. try to hit a few like dustin johnson and you'll get the idea. the lead wrist should be flat without turning or flipping, and the body should be turning to square up the face. for me, my left wrist is my nemesis as i have a tendency to cup it from time to time. if you don't allow the wrist to flatten out before you hit the ball, your best shot will be well right and your worst shot will be a shank.
  13. i'm not saying he is, i'm not saying he isn't. but the fact that you're his friend obviously means you don't think he is, otherwise you wouldn't be friends with him. i'm sure mike tyson's mom thinks he's the sweetest son a mother could have.
  14. no, that post was not racist. the only way that post would have been racist is if all black people talked/acted like that. good thing we don't. that post is mocking a particular demographic which could be any race of people who fit that mold. i've met thugs of all ethnicities, it's just sad that so many of them are playing american sports.
  15. phil mickelson... take your pick of 1. carrying two drivers and 2. missing an easy shot off the tee, only to hit a great shot from the waste area behind three trees and a cadillac(not meant as a compliment).
  16. i had to do it.
  17. yeah, what a tough day at work

  19. because he disrespected the european tour, the european press, the european player with whom he refused to share a ride, he disrespected the french people, dead french soldiers, and americans who actually do give a damn about the rest of the world all in one fell swoop. if you cannot understand how people could get so upset about his antics, well perhaps you should remain a bubba fan.
  20. doesn't sound like he's talking about the upper body. i've never heard of anybody advocating a lateral movement with the upper body.
  21. a push is normally caused by two things in my experience. ball too far back(edit), or upper body moving forward in the downswing.

  23. yes, hitting the ball earlier in the initial arc with a closed face will produce a draw. but moving the arc forward will result in a push at best. the swing arc moves forward only when the upper body moves forward. the swing arc moving forward= disaster. that's when you start hitting pushes, push slices, etc.
  24. the swing arc should not move forward in the downswing, though. that's what causes pushes, etc
  25. what? sweden is in europe?
