  1. Eh I think I've decided to get the White Hot Tour #1
  2. You made a great decision. Because cool kids use 07 Burners.
  3. Here's a TGW link: http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...EGORY_ID=10210 I think I might get one and test it.
  4. I always attempt to drive greens, even if it's 200 out, and then a huge dogleg, I'll attempt a big fade/draw.
  5. I got my new irons yesterday, and went to the range to hit them today, and all I can say is...wow. My old Wal Mart Dunlop 7 iron went 150 on the dot, on my best hits. My new Adams A2OS goes a good 165 in the air. My 8 goes 150 now, and the 9 goes 140. PW looked around 120. The biggest difference was my 5H going a good 190. My old one went like 170. My 6H is a good 175 now. It's also a lot more consistent now too. Only had like 1 or 2 out of 100 balls be topped.
  6. By today's market, is there really a difference between these clubs? If there is, I'll look into a 15 Nike Sumo 1H to replace my 12.5 Adams on courses that don't require the extra 25 of roll I get. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought a 12.5, I drive far enough that the Par 5s I could use this on would have to be around 550 or so for me to be comfortable with hitting this as a second shot. I wanted to get this as a second driver, but the head is waaaaay to small for me to get comfortable with this off of the tee. So would learning to hit a 1H be hard, or simple since it's a Hybrid. My dad told me it'll be hard, but I think since it's a hybrid, I should be able to do it, since he's used to the traditional 1i playability.
  7. Are those putters that are a little extended out in a circle behind the club, like the Cleveland Classic #2, are those blade or mallets? I'd think they are like the hybrid of the putting world haha. But I sorta like the look of those, sort of classic feeling to it.
  8. I don't know how, but yesterday, I didn't have a single one putt, I had I believe 11 3 putts, 1 4 putt, and 6 2 putts. So do the shoulders control the speed since it's a pendulum motion? Is it possible my shaft is too long, since I like to have an arched back rather than a straight up and down like my dad putts?
  9. Yesterday, after tons and tons of practices on my drives, I was hitting 275+ consistently, and I made probably 12 or 13 GIR due to drive and iron improvements. But strange enough, I shot a 105, 54 on the front, 51 on the back. But I had somewhere near 49 putts. That's ridiculous. I had an eagle putt on a downhill tee shot par 5, where I ended up hitting my drive around 320, 330 after the roll. I had a 7 iron to the green, and was putting for eagle, and barely pulled out par. And on a par 4, I basically drove the green, with a 30 chip leaving it around 20 footer for birdie, and I left it short. Any ideas on how to improve my putting to stop leaving it short, and start hitting them closer to the hole?
  10. I'm still looking for some suggestions, considering the cheapest Scottys I see on eBay are still well over $100.
  11. I have an Adams Iron set, and 60* wedge. I also have a three wood by them, it's amazing, I use it on lot's of tight fairways where a 240 yard 3 wood would be better then a 280 yard drive into the woods.
  12. So, why does that even matter? We're talking about which is more astounding, Federer's majors or Tigers, and you're saying Fed's are because (some) of the competition Tiger has is out of shape. I'm saying Tiger's are more amazing, just because I think golf takes a lot more skill then tennis, whether it truly does, that's not for me to decide, because I don't like tennis all that much. Nor do I like Federer that much.
  13. I don't own it, but I've hit it at a demo day. It's a decent driver, but I'd reccomend that you look at the Speedline from Adams, it's easily their best driver.
  14. Can I get some Blade putter recommendations? Anything but Scottys, don't have enough money for them.
  15. I'm actually thinking of selling my dad my putter for $40, then buying a Ping Karsten Anser 2. I think maybe I'll putt better, since it's a blade, and maybe I'll have a little more confidence.
  16. Is there really much of a difference? Or is it down to the person? I have a nike ignite mallet, but I'm thinking of selling it to my dad and buying a blade. I just decided I like the feel of blade putters more. Is there any reason or is it just a person's feel?
  17. I was gonna post this in books, but it seems those are only for discussing the "actual" books, not what ones I (or anyone else) should get. My birthday is coming up soon, two months, and I'll probably be getting golf books. My mom will then know I'm obsessed, but with this game, who isn't? But anyway, what golf books would you guys suggest everyone read? I'm thinking: 1. Tour Tempo 2. Ben Hogan's 5...(can't remember the whole title) And I need more suggestions.
  18. I'm working hard to hopefully get my handicap down to a 10 by the end of the season, and I think my tempo might drop a good 3 strokes per 9, since I have around 5 or 6 terrible iron shots, that go like 30 feet and to the right. I know it's gotta be tempo, because my coach says I do most things right expect my swing count. I used to lift up my front foot a little, baseball style.
  19. Strengths: Mizuno: Irons TM: Drivers Adams: Hybrids Nike: I don't know really, never used 'em. I assume they are decent enough all around? Titleist: Balls, Putters Callaway: X series, be it woods, Irons. Also Odyssey are great putters
  20. Padraig Harrington at -10
  21. Ah, I have a quicker tempo, it's normally a 1.5 backswing when I do it right, and I'm pretty outgoing so it makes sense.
  22. I play on a HS golf team, and lately, I've been shooting 45-48 on 9, but with the occasion explosions, like 56. I know a lot of times, my swings are always different speeds. My coach told me to work on my tempo, something like "1-2-3-Go" during the backswing, which I've been working on. At the range today I hit like 50 balls, and around 45 were right where I was aiming, but some hooks and slices. My question is, can tempo cause a hook/slice?
  23. Oak Tree CC is great, as Iacas has said. I also like a course called the Greens of Greenville, in Greenville, PA. And my 3rd best is...Tam O'Shanter, PA.
  24. Which would help me improve the most? I'm a 16.5 HCP, I just calculated it for the first time the other day. So, which of these would I most likely be able to help me drop it to 12 or 10 quicker?
  25. Wow, on Wednesday I shot a 44, on Friday I shot a 47, both on my CC, really tough course, then today I go out, expecting to shoot around 40 at this nice little public course near my cousin's, I started decently, not how I wanted, but 2 bogeys, so the goal was still in reach...or not, I ended up hitting a 9, 7, 7 string in route to a 56. Terrible. Just terrible.
