  1. HA HA Yup, she cant see why I would want a used set of irons when I could get a nice shinny, flashy, set of bright yellow T3's. Anyway thanks guys I WON and no hall passes were handed over, i got to keep them. Dad-2-3 I am in the exact same boat as you, I wish I had a Driver as good as the one i use to drive her nuts LOL
  2. Ok I have the chance to get a brand new set of Walter Hagen T3's. The Bag, driver, Woods, Irons for $199 OR a previously enjoyed (used) set of Titleist DCI 990's , polished re-griped, re-done by the manufacture for $168 irons only... witch would you go for? (trying to prove a point to my wife)
  3. I hear alot of people say that they fix there stance to feel closer to the ball, wouldn't a shorter person have a bit of an advantage or would it be the tall lengthy person with the better advantage? Longer arms + wider wing span = longer shot?
  4. Is there any basic rule of thumb when going to select the correct iron to use on a play? I was told that the thing to remember is the higher number the farther away from the hole. So say about 120 yards to use your nine iron, and say about 30-40 yards from green to use your 4 for 3 iron. Something tells me this is not the way to go about selecting the right iron to use. There has to be a more advance reason to figuring this million dollar question out. So what should I look for when selecting my choice of Iron for the shot?
  5. Thats what a few others and I have thought of, but the links nailed it! Thanks a bunch! My 3 Iron is falling apart, :( and like I said before, when I use my Irons the response is so unpredictable! I have to be delicate with them for the ball to travel straight, if not there is to much play in them and the ball shoots off like a loose cannon. I was looking at Dicks and they have a 19 set of Walter Hagen there for $199, trying to talk the wife into getting them for me , or dose anyone have any idea for some nice starter sets?
  6. About 9 years ago my mother had purchased these for me from a guy in a hotel room up-top the Hilton Hotel... and NO they are NOT hot, he owned a Golf Discount store in Springfield and it went under years ago, anyway what the heck are these clubs? my 9 - PW are all graphite the heads say "Big Easy" and the grips Bob Mann. The 5 wood sais Hurricane and my 3 wood and 1 i have no idea. I still use them, although the irons (9-PW) have a lot of play in them and are very unpredictable. I have never seen a 1 like mine as well. They are either very cheap or one of a kind.. anyways I started golfing again this year and wanting to get very serious with it. Everyone asks what do you use, and I honestly have no idea, I have never questioned them.
  7. Tiger is always focused, even if he's playing Tiger golf on the wii with Jimmy Falon... always serious.
  8. www.brookhillsgolfclub.com its just a small nine hole course out in the middle of a corn field... http://www.theoaksgolfcourse.com/
