I stopped by GG on the way home from work and grabbed 14 Lamkin Crossline oversize grips plus a roll of grip tape. With the very nasty weather here in Virginia this weekend at least I can be doing something golf related.

Not much into sci-fi at all but me and the wife thoroughly enjoyed the 3-D showing of Avatar last night. It cost us $27 for the two of us here in Virginia. Felt it was well worth it.

I picked up one red Golf Pride putter grip to re-grip my old Response Z putter. Not ready to retire that thing yet.

I am pretty much a Taylor Made homer. Love their stuff and it suits my game well.

No hybrid for me. I have always been a pretty good long iron player so I don't see myself getting one in the near future. Every time I take one off the rack it looks like a hook machine.

Getting fitted is the first thing you should do. Wondering though why you would want to move to stiff shafts if you hit regular shaft clubs good. My swing speed averages 87-89 with a nice smooth tempo and I hit all regular shafted clubs. Works well for my game and I don't give it a second thought about switching to stiff shafts. I have several rounds under par this year so you don't have to have stiff shafts to play well.

I would recommend you take a look at these three: 1- Cleveland Launcher 2- Adams Speedline 3- Callaway G-15

It's not that creative but I play TP Red #14 and I color in the white part of the "T" with a red marker.

I hit the '09 Burners at Golf Galaxy recently and I liked them. The ball made a nice sound on impact and seemed to just jump off the face.

Welcome! I hit the same irons as you for years and as recently as a few months ago. Recently updated all of my equipment and got the TM Tour Burners for me irons. I was amazed at how much easier they are to hit than my old 845's. They are also almost a club and a half longer.
