I played with a guy like this today. Wow his swing looked really awkward.

88 on a par 72. 16 over. I had some really nice drives as I am finally starting to control my slice, but now I am hitting my irons INCREDIBLY fat. I had several 2nd shots that were in between 100 and 150 that I completely messed up. Still a great round for me as I only had 26 putts.

Yeah I live in College Station and have been looking into playing Blaketree. Don't they advertise it as one of the top 25 hardest courses in the US? Also, terrible news that Waterwood is closed.

I can't believe noone suggested Star Ranch in Hutto. It isn't in Austin city limits, but it is right outside of it. Definitely one of the best public courses in Texas. You should also check to Dallas Morning News' "Top 50 Courses You Can Play"

Congrats! Now you gotta go out on 18 and see if you can put two of them back to back to break 100! I remember the first time I broke 100, it was at a junior golf camp that I attended when I was 13 for a week. I shot a 97 on the last day and immediatly told my dad when he came by to pick me up. When I told him I broke 100 with a 97, he told me, "Son, you don't tell people you broke 100, you say you broke 98." Again, congrats!
