  1. Brand new, never installed. $80 shipped.
  2. Only used the driver for 18 holes and decided to stick with my old 905R. No pop-up marks or paint chipping. Light marks on the sole and ball marks on the face, but otherwise a new driver. Comes with wrench in it's original pouch and matching new headcover. Looking for $275 shipped. No trade offers, please.
  3. First off, you won't find a bigger proponent of Charlotte than me and we'd love to have you down here. If you have any questions about the area if/when you relocate, feel free to ask. As far as golf goes, almost all courses are open 12 months a year and only close for snow (and we don't get much). I really only play about 9.5 months of the year, taking a break from around mid-December to the beginning of March. It's certainly feasible to play all year, but the average highs are in the low 50's in December, January, and February. If that's tolerable for you, then more power to you.
  4. I've played a 906F2 3 wood for a couple years now. I've considered buying a backup. For me, it's longer and straighter off the tee than any other 3 wood I've ever hit. And it's definitely workable. There are easier clubs to get up in the air from the fairway, but that doesn't seem like it should be a concern for you. I hit the 909Fs (and play a 909D2), but there was something missing for me.
  5. I definitely agree that the ProV1/x are great balls and in fact play them. But, to play a urethane/high spin/tour ball, it's certainly necessary to be a good ball striker if you want to 1. maximize the potential of the ball and 2. not lose a lot of expensive balls. There's really no doubt that you can get a ball that performs as well that doesn't have Titleist stamped on it, but for a lot of people, that stamp factors in the decision just as much, if not more, than performance. I can't deny that I'm part of that group and completely accept at least some brainwashing.
  6. Welcome and congrats on the new clubs. I can agree that an intial upgrade from some hand-me-down or starter clubs to something a little more substantial does a lot for confidence and motivation to improve.
  7. Yeah, legality isn't a huge concern to me, just nice to get a little extra life out of a wedge. Thanks for the info.
  8. Also very interested to hear if these work, particularly for wedges.
  9. Agreed on eBay. I've found wedges with fresh grooves on there for
  10. Pryor looked solid at the end of last year and I can't argue that he's probably my frontrunner. Not to mention Ohio State should be in contention for a championship and that seems to really matter in Heisman voting. No reason to think Ingram won't be great at Alabama again and have a chance to repeat. And Julio Jones might be better.
  11. Also with a shoulder turn. This is probably the only part of my swing that involves an actual concious swing thought every time.
  12. I wish I had! I've still seen some at Golf Galaxy, but figured I'd start playing a ball that will continue to exist. Even though I could easily be picking these up on some of the used sites. I've seen a lot more TP Blacks on the shelves, but I never liked those nearly as much.
  13. I've played the course a few times and will be very excited to see the changes in person after completion. Interesting indeed.
  14. Carolina Panthers football.
  15. Had good experiences with Rockbottom, TGW, and Global Golf. I would agree with others that Golfsmith's customer service and pricing is subpar.
