  2. Day 29 (29 May 25) - Rain held off today / so I spent time working with the mid-irons using the hard foam balls working on my pre-shot setup and making adjustments based on varied lies from around the property (this really helps on working out of position β€œnon-short grass” shots). Good session, finished up going all wedges with some pitches with 52 and 58 off the short grass side of the small mat.

  4. Day 28 (28 May 25) - After a long day of checking son out from hospital and ride home. Did work with the putter this evening - worked on short putts up to 5’ and tempo.
  5. Wordle 1,439 4/6* 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜🟩🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Just missed birdie, could’ve lipped out par as I had two great options…I chose the better. BTW - great eagle yesterday @boogielicious
  6. Day 27 (27 May 25) - son had shoulder surgery out of town, still able to get in some mirror work at the hotel - slo mo swing rehearsals.
  7. Wordle 1,438 3/6* ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Seen this before - total whiff and still make birdie… .BTW - great Eagle @Clemsonfan
  8. Day 26 (26 May 25) - Soggy day, soggy yard. Managed to get outside for a few moments to focus on setup and getting good foot flair (especially the lead foot). Added a small pre-check with a stance distance from the ball check (using the old adage that good distance is when the end of the handle of the club comes to rest just above the knee) and then worked on making some easy pitches with that setup adjustment. Hopefull the weather will provide some breaks later in the week as we are to be in a rain pattern all week.

  10. Day 25 (25 May 25) - Continued work with trail hand drill today (only hit about 40 balls) using the GW in the back yard - locking in on decreasing overall dispersion…end result was an average of a 6yd area around target pin. This is a key component of the up and down green side game I tend to rely upon.

  12. I would say 2 as that would take me from just over 15 to say 7.5 AND if this were to replicate that would mean my next stop would be to just under 4 AND if it replicated again to barely 2, etc. IF its a one and done - being a single digit would not be too bad either. Interesting question.
  13. Day 24 (24 May 25) - Worked with the LW today focused on keeping my head down (eye on the ball through contact). This is in responsse to what I noticed yesterday that I was not staying in the shot on short wedge pitches. Hence the drill today was to just "trust the swing mechanics" and "see the ball off". Practiced to varied distances - from about 10 yds out to upwards of 40 yds.

  15. Day 23 (23 May 25) - Played Friday scramble as usual - came away with some good thoughts on the green side of things. It was a day where I was lacking confidence in the wedge game and played a number of them short, however I went back to some of my readings about playing to the β€œbig” side of the green and saw much better long approaches.
  16. Day 22 (22 Mar 25) - Worked on lower flighted punches with wedges and 7i - trying to hit the β€œwindow” pane I wanted travel thru.

  19. Discipline is hard, just like golf. Over the course of my journey - I have made some solid steps in improving, but I have also had some steps backwards. One thing the daily practice plan has done has instilled the desire to do something each day (only pausing when life happens). While I don’t note it - many of the drills from the Covid-19 Practice Plan that Erik put out there…through it all, small steps have been my MO - as I have had to Lear to get proper weight shift on a lead foot with no toes, grafted skin and almost 24/7 mild pain. All that to say it’s a journey of a million small steps - steps where one day I play like it’s all ease and a low 80’s score and days where I feel like I’ve stepped back and struggle to not hit 100. Today I was literally thinking about what word I need to lock in on - competitive was the word. How does one get that mindset in the forefront? Discipline - to make small changes that become second nature. The journey continues.
  20. Day 21 (21 May 25) - Today was an easy session - focused on wedge distancing w/GW and LW (up to 50yds). Was pleased at the overall distance control. Focused on the trail hand drill and staying fluid thru the swing.
  21. Wordle 1,432 5/6* 🟩🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Ugggh - I hate these plays
  22. Day 20 (20 May 25) - Played 18 with my good friend - slight changes to the bag setup made for some interesting shot options. They presented some great course management decisions- some I chose well and others not so well ( lost ball penalty strokes suck), overall a good day to work the game when it’s not going easy.
  23. Wordle 1,431 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟨🟩🟩 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Great Eagle @ChetlovesMer -
  24. Day 19 (19 May 25) - An easy session after taking care of the yard and some other chores. Hit some easy wedges staying in the trail palm drill - focusing a little more on the takeaway portion.
  25. Wordle 1,430 3/6* ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Wow - golf words helped get the birdie today….
