  2. Day 37 (6 Jun 25) - Friday men’s group shootout today - started off bogey-par, blew up three with lost ball triple. Settled in to finish par-bogey, bogey-par-par-bogie 43 front. Opened the back with dbl followed by par, birdie, par, bogey, bogey, par, bogey, bogey to close with a 41 - 84 overall. All that to cover key takeaways from today: First - putting was solid with a total of 29 putts; Second - the two blow up holes were followed with pars (learning to leave it behind); Third - off the tee was solid (except for the blow-up on three); Fourth - of the 7 pars - 3 were up and down 1 putts and Fifth - out of position recovery type shots were about trusting the club to execute. It was a good day - capped by closest to the pin on the par 3 12th hole….

  4. Day 36 (5 Jun 25) - Rain setting in as the non-tropical low passes be Eastern NC. Was able to get some swings with the 54° to stay in the setup drill process. Today focused on the lead foot position -toe area (no toes to point out) in a flared position, slightly opened hips toward target….
  5. Wordle 1,447 6/6* 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟨🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Mind just couldn’t see it till the last guess- dbl bogie it is…
  6. Day 35 (4 Jun 25) - Vintage club day as I pulled the MacGregor blades and Toney Penna woods out for a round of 18. I use these clubs to work on making consistent contact and practice course management (basically not being afraid to club up). The drills I’ve been working paid off during the round with some solid shots into the greens.

  8. Day 34 (3 Jun 25) - Similar drill work today as yesterday, except I was using the MacGregor blades and Penna persimmons…love taking on these older clubs and working to get results similar to my gamers. That said, these clubs are generally less forgiving so it really focuses the attention (discipline) to stay in the process and not just swing for swinging sake.

  10. Day 33 (2 Jun 25) - Worked with the 50° wedge on short pitches (5-30 yds) - focusing on mid-high floaters (soft land and release) down to low spinners (hop and stops) keeping in forefront the setup process I’ve been working thru.
  11. Just looking at the overall stats so far- the earliest ever I been this far in completing the challenge - 13 holes birdied. Now to get the last five....

  13. Day 32 (1 Jun 25) - Grabbed some afternoon time to work with the 8i in the same drills I've been working with other clubs. Only hit about 30 balls, but it was a good session that allowed me to rehearse the full pre-shot drill that I am using on the course. Note: Really focusing on stance from the ball has greatly improved the ball contact - see far fewer fats and thins strikes. The big bonus is how I work this drill on varied terrain - thin grass, heavy grass, slight up and down hill lies - all mixed up and and allowing me to rehearse what I may see on course (I have accomodating neighbors).

  15. Day 31 (31 May 25) - Back to preshot routone drills today in the backyard - focused on stance distance from the ball - looking to get more comfortable with this adjustment. Made some swings with the 6&7 irons and hard foam balls.
  16. About like @bkuehn1952 with a 43 / 37….my usual fare is to go lower on the front and lose it on the back….great recovery in going from 51 front to 38 back.

  18. Have not posted on this page for a while. Today was the Friday men's shootout0 This turned out to be a new PB day with a 37 front and 39 back for a 76, beating my previous best by two strokes. It was that rare air day where things were good all the way through the bag. From a chip in birdie on #2 to hitting the ball to just over 5' on #9 - it was a day of staying in the moment and not letting previous hole scores get into my head. For example the worst hole of the day - #8 was a 3 putt dbl bogie (misplayed approach put me in tougher up and down setup) that I followed with a birdie at #9. At the turn, I wanted to stay in the moment and not let it get away. Settled in with bogie, bogie start followed five straight pars, a bogie and finished with an up and down par. With only 30 putts - it was a day of near miss birdies, stress free pars.

  21. Day 29 (29 May 25) - Rain held off today / so I spent time working with the mid-irons using the hard foam balls working on my pre-shot setup and making adjustments based on varied lies from around the property (this really helps on working out of position “non-short grass” shots). Good session, finished up going all wedges with some pitches with 52 and 58 off the short grass side of the small mat.
  22. Wordle 1,440 3/6* 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟨🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  23. Day 28 (28 May 25) - After a long day of checking son out from hospital and ride home. Did work with the putter this evening - worked on short putts up to 5’ and tempo.
  24. Wordle 1,439 4/6* 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜🟩🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Just missed birdie, could’ve lipped out par as I had two great options…I chose the better. BTW - great eagle yesterday @boogielicious
  25. Day 27 (27 May 25) - son had shoulder surgery out of town, still able to get in some mirror work at the hotel - slo mo swing rehearsals.
