  1. If you don't mind making the drive down to RI I'd recommend Triggs or Newport National. In the Boston area I would say play an old Boston Muni such as Presidents, George Wright, or Franklin Park, or Gannon Memorial, they are goofy but fun to play and cheap and almost untouched from the turn of the century.
  2. Without a doubt my favorite is Donald Ross. Wannamoisett CC, Rhode Island CC, Metacomet CC, Triggs, and CC of New Bedford are a couple of the local ones I have gotten to play of his. Least Favorite is Geoffrey Cornish. He makes some very bad holes on each and every course he does. The bad part about this is he has designed more courses in New England than anyone else including my home course Crestwood CC. He ruined great Ross courses by adding 9's to such layouts as Fall River CC and Warwick CC. O well.
  3. I played Poppy, Bayonet, and del Monte in a junior event 6 years ago and I liked them all. I would say Poppy was the most fun to play out of the three and was in very good shape. I liked the fact that is has 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's including back to back par 5's at 9 and 10, Makes for a very interesting round.
  4. one course I played at in a junior event had no yardages on the sprinkler heads you had to have a yardage book to find the yardage that each sprinkler was.
  5. I played del monte about 6 years ago in a tournament, thought it was nice but not worth 100 dollars if that's what they charge.
  6. I would say tiger because he has been dominant at every stage of his life from young child through college and now prob, jack was very good as a junior and amateur and the best pro to date but tiger i think has been better if you compare their first 33 years.
  7. Crestwood CC in Rehoboth, MA, it's a little goofy but fun to play. www.crestwoodcc.com
  8. I'm a student at Northeastern University.
