I play ping eye 2 irons that average 4-6 degrees of weaker loft. I may hit 2 more clubs than you but I know the new irons have tricked up lofts. I played 9 holes with a buddy today. He has callaway apex fitted irons. A 600 dollar driver. 2 woods he paid 400 bucks apiece for. And a 300 buck putter. My bag clubs and putter are 30 years old. I beat him by 4 strokes. Sometimes it’s the Indian not the arrows!

I wouldn’t dare. Lol. I sometimes laugh because I’m hitting 5 irons when someone else is hitting 7. But it’s a huge advantage playing in tournaments when the young people who try to use your club selection as what they should hit. Then they airmail the green by 20 yards. I’m just wondering if there is something better out there. Lol. Aren’t we all

I love my eye 2 irons. But all my friends tell me that I’m out of sinc. My loft on just about every iron is 4-6 degrees lower than modern irons. If I switch irons it’s going to be weird I hit my 36 degree 7 iron 145-150 yards. I hit everything high with spin. And I’m used to them. Do modern clubs with the ne gewgaws really make that much of a difference?

Regriped my ping eye 2 irons. I’ve been thinking about upgrading because I’ve lost a little distance. Then I played 9 with new grips my yardages came back and I had 3 kick in birdie putts! I think I hate golf!! Lol

I took 10 years off I was a 8 handicap. I still have my short game. Im gradually getting back my swing. Im wanting new technology.my irons are all d2 swing weights and I’m hoping to get same. My lofts are weak on the pings eye 2 compared to new equipment. I’m really liking the PXG. Irons and the military discount makes them an option. Worried they may be surpassed by newer tech this spring as the golf companies catch up to pxg I hit the ball solid. I’m inconsistent. I can work the ball

My wife says after 32 years of playing my ping eye 2 irons I can buy any clubs I want. I haven’t had time to hit anything thing yet. But want opinions? I’m looking at the hollow body game improvement irons I’ve lost distance but still want to be able to work the ball but have forgiveness. I’m a 20 handicapper and hit my 7 iron 150 yards carry. With a fade. My miss is a pull. I have narrowed it dow to 4 sets I’m wanting to try. First is PXG 1st gen because if discounts for veterans. Second is ping g700. Third taylormade p790 and last is mizuno jpx 900 or 919 irons. Any thoughts on which might be best. Thanks in advance
