He's screwing me, too, but I love the guy's passion. This course is a nightmare. I'm having almost as much fun watching this as I did watching the guys get eaten up by Shinnecock two years ago. I love it when the pros actually get challenged.

I'm pretty sure that he is just there as a frozen asset. You can swap him in next tournament and his value will be locked for you.

So much for my proclamation that I was going to play "no matter what." It hasn't stopped raining since and it's too heavy to even try and hit a golfball. Looking at the weather forcast it might be another week and a half or more before I can actually get onto a course.

I'm finding it hard to pick against Appleby. He plays so well at Kapalua. But I think Vijay putts like that the rest of the time and definitely still contends. Sergio may have something to say about the lead when all is said and done. Speaking of Sergio, what exactly is the deal with the hair and how does it tie into Adam Scott and Tim Clark? He mentioned that the three of them had this thing going but never mentioned really what they were doing. I saw Tim Clark with a full beard the other day, so maybe that had something to do with it. Scott and Garcia are my two favorite players not named Tiger so I was thought it was pretty cool that they are friends.

I checked a bunch of the scores (not all) and you're the closest to me that I saw. I posted a -11. But ESPN will often not have the scores right until the following morning, so check it against the actual scores on PGA.com. Also, if you have Furyk he may be losing a birdie so that could affect some scores.

Now he's +4 after four holes. Those greens must be nasty now that they made them faster. Guess who my last pick in my CBS Sportsline salary cap team was? Yep, good 'ole Lucas Glover. I hope he doesn't keep this up for the entire West Coast Swing or I'm gonna be hurting. Edit: The course is really eating the guys up so far. It's extremely early, but they aren't doing so hot.

Just a few more hours until we see them tee off. I'm pretty excited, even if Tiger isn't there (I couldn't care less whether I ever have to watch Phil play golf again or not). Who's gonna win it? Appleby again, maybe Gore or O'Hair? Sergio perhaps, or will Singh start the year off strong? Let's get this party started!

Haha. Well, as an Arkansas boy, I can't root for Texas. There is no team in all of collegiate or professional athletics that I hate more than them (though LSU is quickly gaining ground). It was a heck of a game, and for that I am thankful. Two heavyweights went toe to toe and all of American who watched got to enjoy it.

I just watched an ad for the new driver on TGC. Made me want to buy this thing ASAP. My wife won't go for it, but the driver appears to have some very valid teaching capability. I was hoping someone here had experience with it. The 5-iron would probably help me, as well.

Ohio State was my preseason pick to win the National Championship this year. They came darn close, too. Had they beaten Texas (and they almost did) that game against PSU would have meant even more and who knows how it would have ended. Replacing the middle of that defense will be tough, but they are still a strong pick for next year.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to finally get on the course again after a dreadfully long 8 month layoff. Not only will I be contending with the lack of any rythm, but it's also been raining pretty steadily over the last four or five days. Tomorrow will be clear, but that doesn't make the course dry. The course also does not have a driving range (boo!) and I was hoping to get some tips on what I could do to warm up my swing again before teeing off without actually hitting any balls. I'm playing no matter what, come rain or shine. It's not like my handicap could get much higher anyway.

This is gonna be good. I may have to buy a Tivo just so that I don't miss any episodes. :)

There's a good article on this in the most recent GOLF magazine. I think it is a great idea and with he and Chris Dimarco the U.S. would have all the enthusiasm and cheerleading it needed.

I just found out I have the same problem. (Petrovic?) This is bogus. We'd better be able to change him out before the start of the tourney.

First, make sure that you're actually logged in. If you are, the player info is below where the faces go. You have to scroll down to see the player list. Hope that helps. If not, try posting on the ESPN message boards maybe or send them a tech request?

It may sound simple, but I'd just like to find the time to play twice a month. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to find a regular golfing partner, but if not I'm committing myself to playing more often anyway.

Seattle vs. Cincinatti in the Super Bowl. Gonna be a fun one. ;)

Looks pretty good, but not exponentially greater than the product out for current gen systems. I have yet to purchase this year's version simply because I'm not convinced that it's worth the upgrade from last year's. (Any opinions on that, by the way?) XBox 360 is nice, yeah. But really, if you don't have the HD TV to go with it, it certainly isn't worth $400.

John is 100% real. I can't recall one time where he did anything that made me think he was trying to play to the media. John is John, and he doesn't care whether you like him or not. Follow him around on a practice round if you ever get the chance. It was one of the best days I've ever had. The guy is a genuine.

Man, that's awesome! Only 19 more spots to climb and you WILL be going to Hawaii! I certainly hope that happens.
