  1. Aside from your left hand grip being waaaay strong, the one thing that pops out at me is that you don't have much lower body/hip movement. Your left knee should bend down towards the ball and slightly to the inside of your body as your hips turn away from the ball on the backswing. I think you could do this a little more than you are. Your hips (your left hip, specifically) should initiate the downswing by turning in and towards the ball. If you freeze the video at impact, your belt buckle (if you had one) is facing almost directly towards the camera because your arms are initiating the downswing. Try and get your belt buckle rotated at least 45 degrees open at impact, I think that would be helpful in getting your hips to initiate the downswing. The other thing I think you could try is to keep your left arm a little more straight.
  2. You do put a very good move on the ball, that's for sure. Couple things I notice... -As you mentioned, your tempo does look a little quick. -You also have a lot of weight shifted to your front foot at the top of the backswing. -Your arms seem to initiate the downswing more so than the legs. At impact, your hips are not very open to the target because the legs are following the arms, not the other way around.
  3. I have a membership to an outdoor/heated driving range, so I hit about 150-200 balls per day throughout the winter. And trust me, Minnesota is cold. Was hitting balls @ 0 degrees today, -15 wind chill with a long sleeve shirt and vest on
  4. 292 on my second try, and I'm also done. Man that hurts my eyes
  5. Transitioning Monday into my new position at a major Minneapolis metro hospital as a trainer/data analyst/supervisor. Woot!
  6. Me too. Mid 60s to early 70s was THE golden era for American cars in my opinion. Yeah, late 60s Bonnevilles are sweeeeeeet, with that super long low slung look. Yep, sure is FWD, mated to a 425, lol. Toronados were largely responsible for bringing FWD into the mainstream, for better of for worse. Oddly enough, I get way more comments from people about the Toronado than the Corvette. I guess because they're so rare.
  7. Pretty huge car guy myself. Got into cars around age 13-14 and have been obsessed ever since. My current DD is an '03 maxima 6 speed. Pretty quick actually with 255hp. 2 toys that I play with whenever I have spare time. '74 Corvette and '67 Toronado. Currently saving up for a used RS4. One of my dream cars and it will be mine In about 4 years...
  8. I'm a big believer in keeping things simple. A couple thoughts then... 1. Feet could be a little wider apart to provide more stability 2. Try to feel that your weight is shifting to your back foot on the backswing, swing hard through to the front foot on the finish 3. Try to stand 1/2"-1" further from the ball and line the ball up more towards the toe of the club. This may or may not be the problem, but if it is, it's a really easy fix!
  9. Back when I was playing a lot, I would carry a 6 iron round 185-190 with a ss in the low 90s. Nowadays, it's more like 175-180 because I don't hit it nearly as flush, except when I do and fly the green by 10 yards
  10. Those uniflex shafted irons would impossible for him to control. Playing against the best players in the world on the toughest courses in the world, he would be a non-factor, plain and simple
  11. Broke 100 within the first month or so when I started playing regularly at age 19 or 20. Broke 90 and 80 the next summer when I was practicing/playing 5-6 days a week and after taking a few lessons. Sadly I didn't play much the past few years, but I'm getting back into it now. The best I've done this year is low 80s, but hopefully I'll be back in the 70s next summer!
  12. The year 2000. 'Nuff said
  13. Only got through 7 holes after work a couple days ago, but I was 3 over at that point. Not too bad for November golf in Minnesota.
  14. Hit a 7 iron from about 175 to 10 feet on the first hole a couple days. Missed the eagle putt of course, but starting out 1 under is awesome!
  15. Work in admissions as a financial rep in a hospital. I'm the one that asks all the annoying questions when you are admitted to the ER, lol
