  1. Thanks for the comments guys! I'm no photographer, but I'm glad those came out good.
  2. The more I think about it, the more I want to just leave them alone. I don't think it's worth my time to do that because the paint will just come right off again. Plus, the clubs have character now!
  3. No problem man!
  4. Maybe they didn't like the way they tear up golf balls? I would just give the face a thorough look over and if it looks like the grooves in the sweetspot are very shallow, then you probably should get a new wedge.
  5. This is with macros:
  6. I had the flash off. Let me go try this macro thing and see if I can get something a little more clear.
  7. These were the best I could get:
  8. Dude...I don't see what you aren't understanding? I'm not going to ruin this thread by arguing with you, but if you re-read my first post, you will see that I said to hit it on the upswing. If you have an issue with me, send me a PM because this going back and forth is a waste of everyone's time.
  9. My 2 iron has no paint in the word at all so if you want, I can post up a picture to give you an idea of what it would look like.
  10. I might go the route of grabbing some blue touch up paint. It would be nice to get them refinished, but I like looking down and seeing a dime sized spot worn out on the sweet spot. Although those MP-33s look kind of cool though.
  11. Good evening everyone, the paint on the back of my Mizuno irons that fill in the word "Mizuno" is coming off on some parts. I'm just curious if there's a certain type of paint one could use to fill that in or not. Thanks for any suggestions!
  12. My family has been a member of Emerald Greens in Tampa (formerly Carrollwood Country Club) and I believe it's around $500 a month or so for a full membership.
  13. 12* is a bit on the low side. There are specs that tell you what your backspin, and launch angle should be with a clubhead speed of 90. I am not sure of the specs off the top of my head, but any place with a launch monitor should have them.
  14. That is exactly what I said originally actually. The degree of the head is only part of the equation. You need to factor in club speed and launch angle because the faster you swing, and the steeper the angle, the more backspin that you will put on the ball, thus hitting it higher. My suggestion would be to get fitted for a shaft that fits your swing speed. Remember, a driver should be hit on the upswing, not the down swing. You will most likely need to get something with a low kick point. I personally hit a 7.5* R5 Dual with a VistaPro 70 stiff shaft. You can't even find drivers these days that low so you will have to compromise and get a shaft that allows you to launch the ball lower with less spin. That was my original post. Now, what part of that is not exactly what you said?
  15. That's how it was for myself today in Tampa! The worst part is that the wind was swirling and it seemed like most of the day, the wind was hurting rather than helping.
  16. I like Mizuno...but I'm not biased or anything haha.
  17. I hold my breath as well. Not sure why, I guess it's just something I grew up doing.
  18. I set an alarm just as a backup, but I too wake up when I need to. It's weird. I guess our bodies just know.
  19. I would just take them in to your local golf store (that you trust) and have them bend them to the correct loft and lie. That way there is no guessing.
  20. By balls of your feet, I was more trying to get the point of not having the weight on your toes or heels. It's important to stand correctly as you do not want to be flat footed and by saying arches, it can come across as standing flat footed, which is not what you want to do.
  21. If you hit any club on the down swing (meaning descending blow) you will put much more backspin on the ball which will cause the ball to go much higher. If you read my post fully, you will see that I said while hitting a driver, you should hit it on the upswing which will in turn launch the ball and have less backspin.
  22. I can see the rationale behind both of your arguments. Though this just may only be a Saturday game for fun or a tournament, I think it comes down to what is riding on the putt. If it's the front nine of a 2 day match play tournament, I'll be happy to give you that 2 or 3 footer because I know the other guy would do the same for me. But if the scenario is different and it's the last 4 or 5 holes on the last day and I'm in the lead...that 2 or 3 footer is going to look longer and the hole smaller; you better believe you're going to have to putt it out. The scenario makes up a lot of it. I mean c'mon, it's Saturday morning and the guy isn't going to give you something inside the grip? That's just bogus and I wouldn't play with him because it's people like him that ruin the fun of the game.
  23. Oh ok I see what you're asking. The answer that David gave is spot on. You do not want to dip your head because it will cause extra movement in your swing (your body will need to reposition itself because your head will be in the way). Don't do any leaning to one side or the other because that could cause a sway instead of a turn as well.
  24. Yeah, apparently I'm not reading the question correctly. I'm understanding it as you want to know the correct way to address the ball. Please let me know exactly what you're asking so I can help haha.
  25. I think he was just trying to show off or what not. It's not cool for someone to make a comment and then not explain it. He's a teaching pro and should be giving advice; especially when he starts it. When it comes down to it, you enjoy the equipment you have and you have fun playing golf.
