  1. I have put a round on each of these clubs now, they are both currently in my bag. I can say they are definitely worth the money. I was extremely surprised with how the wedge performed during my round. The milled face of the wedge was not a feature I was accustomed to seeing in this price range. When comparing the control and spin to my Vokey they felt nearly identical. The putter was nearly as impressive with how the face felt, it was soft... but not a muted feel. I liked the black finish and contrasting white details. The shafts and grips on these clubs were about what I expected in this price range, nothing to write home about... but for the money there isn't much reason to complain either. I will be keeping my eye on Top Flite's Tour series closer from now on.
  2. I was in Dick's recently looking for a Scottsdale Anser 2 from the previous year an had no luck. I did however come across a new line of putters by Top Flite labeled Tour. I checked the putter out and hit it side by side with a current generation answer, and was quite impressed especially for the cost. Long story short I ended up getting the putter and a new wedge. The putter was great enough, but the wedge was simply impressive, it has a CNC milled face and looks as good as any other wedge I have owned. I walked out the door with both new clubs for less than 90 bucks, as there is a special going on now. If you get a chance to swing by and check them out, I don't think anyone would be disappointed for their cost. I will check back in once I have put a round on them both.
  3. Now that these have been out a while, has anyone else played them yet? I played a few rounds with them, and I was impressed with their value just as I was with the previous model. I found them to be a bit softer, and the spin with wedges was excellent. I would play them again without hesitation. Any other experiences?
  4. Try the new VR Pro and SQ Machspeed drivers! Actually just try all the new Nike products then proceed to the Taylormade. You can make your way to the R11 after the long line dies out. haha
  5. I rotate between different balls depending on the weather or the importance of the round. I play the D2 Feel, the Gamer V2, and my "go to" ball is the NXT Tour. I don't desire any extreme backspin, at least not right now.
  6. I have played both versions of the Gamer and thought they were both fantastic for the money, and a far cry from the rocks of the past. I am anxious to see how the new D2+ Feel is going to play, I really like the original D2 Feel... however any improvements are welcome by me. That nasty stigma has stuck around with them too long, I think more people would be pleasantly surprised if they played them.
  7. I suppose the ball is too new at this point. :( Someone go buy some and then report back. haha
  8. Has anyone played the new D2+ balls? I have played the original D2 Feel and am pretty happy with the overall performance of the ball. I am just curious if the new ball is noticably softer, or has much more capability on the green.
  9. I purchased a set of Gigagolf GX922 irons last season, my previous set of irons being Tommy Armour 845s that had not aged so well, I expected a great difference in the two sets. I was right about them being different, just didn't anticipate what the differences would be. First off, the clubs look great and the build quality seems fantastic for the money. The downside for me has been how wide the sole is on these irons, they just feel too wide for my liking. I have been researching another set of inexpensive irons, and today I stumbled upon the Acer XK irons. I know these are not new, and I didn't just discover gold in the hills. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with these irons, or even the GX922 and the XKs. Any insight would be appreciated.
  10. I now own quite a few clubs from Gigagolf and am very pleased with the quality and performance of the clubs. I would recommend them to anyone really.
  11. Did you really just compare your job as a computer programmer to that of a professional athlete? How often are you in the spotlight again? You then follow up that claim with a comparison of infidelity and Star Trek. Did you accomplish what you wanted with that post?
  12. How much clarity do you need? Tiger is a professional, therefore he needs to act like a professional, on and off the course. His actions are what will help set him aside from other great players, because he lacks class. There is a reason that golf involves so much etiquette, and respect for the others around you. There have been many ways it has affected him as a golfer, he lost a lot of endorsement deals, thus losing fans, and customers. The negative press is what is equal to the steroid scandal, not the performance aspect obviously.
  13. A grown man needs to be held accountable for his actions, no one forced him to act on his desires. He has enough sense to know right from wrong. Tiger needs to truly address the issue, because his attempt thus far has been pathetic. He is not keeping any pride or saving face by dancing around questions. I don't respect him as a person or a golfer, he has brought a lot of shame to the sport. This was the equivalent to steroids in baseball. He failed his family, the sport, the fans, and his sponsors. Jordan may have suggested something with his own lifestyle, but that doesn't mean Tiger had to act the same way. It would have been better on himself, and especially his wife and family if he would have just filed for divorce.

    Age

I'm 26, I played a bit when I was younger and had a very long span before picking a club back up again. I have been playing seriously for about a year now.
  15. I recently got some of the GX922 irons as well. MrOuch, did you get the feather flight shafts, if so which flex did you get? I am concerned that I may need to send them back to get the firm flex.
