  1. Gullible is written all over my forehead
  2. If he didn't do anything wrong, then why not talk??!?! Right....
  3. I just got an e-mail from Golfsmith, their Extreme location has a grand opening on Friday. Too bad I won't be down there until Saturday, oh well. For the first several hundred customers, they are giving away free gift cards and tons of other stuff. You should go and check it out. We'll be there on Saturday since we'll be in the OC anyways
  4. Hi Josh, Welcome :)
  5. At least last year he showed up to his own tournament, but didn't play because he was recovering from knee surgery. Maybe next year he'll play?!?!?!?
  6. Yeah...and I think without Tiger there, I'd have more of a chance to see more without having to compete with tons of people :) Good thought! So I think I'll still go
  7. That's what I was thinking, there'd be less people there now
  8. Is he not even going to make an appearance??!?! Hmmm...Maybe we'll go as well just to check it out!! That's too bad
  9. Awwwwwwwwww man...Tiger just withdrew from his own tournament and said that he won't even be there...we have tickets hoping we could see him...I want my money back!!
  10. I checked it out, thanks for the info :)
  11. Sorry, but this is just making me chuckle Did you pull a muscle in that area?
  12. I got a Lynx club, they were all 50% off, and it matches my current set :) and it s 60 degree. I still need to practicing hitting with it. I'm comfortable right now with my SW. For $20, not bad
  13. ^ Thanks for the link!! It seems that if you take your eyes off the ball, you don't have a great shot, interesting.....
  14. You will be able to soon :)
  15. Hello to you in Illinois :)
  16. I have a brand new lob wedge that I just purchased on Black Friday (YAY!!) but I haven't been able to practice much with it since then. Is hitting a lw the same as like a pw or a sw? I LOVE my sw, its my best friend :) but I know that for 50 yards and in, I don't want to be using my sw because I have a tendency to over hit it, and the lw should work great for 50 and in. Is the setup the same, do you address the ball the same way? Do you keep the lw open more? I know its supposed to just pop high and drop! Haven't been able to do that yet :(
  17. I take 2 Advil before I start playing, you don't even feel a thing :) I have the tendency to do the same thing, I'm about halfway there to China, maybe if we combine all of our divots, we'd already be there and back But I've noticed that to not take huge chunks out of the grass, I just stay down and keep my eyes and head above the ball! At driving ranges with mats and if they have those plastic tees sticking up, trying taking swing there and see if you hit the mat or sweep the tee.
  18. I have a push cart as well. Its practically paid for itself already :) It folds compact as well, and is a nice pink color. I have a hard time putting air into the tires with the supplied air pump that I end up taking it to the gas station to put air in the tires haa haa, but it def. does come in handy and I'd rather use my own than the ones supplied at the course. I think I need to put my cart bag on it, with my stand bag, the bag keeps turning and shifting over :(
  19. That's what I thought and that's how I've been doing it. But this guy is telling my BF to NOT look at the ball and to keep his eyes on the toe of the club?!?!!? And suprisingly, he was able to hit it that way...but I know for me, I need to keep my head down and eyes on the ball!! Maybe for everyone its different? Who knows....
  20. I know there are different techniques for a golf swing, but the way that I've been used to is to keep your head down and eyes on the ball through the backswing and follow through your eyes naturally go up. But yesterday we were at the golf course and someone was showing my BF how to swing and he said to keep his eyes on the toe of the club and NOT the ball. I guess this is like solving a math question: there's 1 answer but yet there are TONS of ways to get the answer and it just depends on what works for you?
  21. Def. wear sunblock out here in So-Cal when its sunny out!
  22. Just have fun and enjoy :)
  23. Quite a few so-Cal folks here :) YAY!!
  24. I have to say, we are quite lucky here weather-wise in Southern California. Played a little bit this morning and it was cool out and I was wearing my golf pants and a long-sleeved shirt, then went to the driving range tonight and it started to rain :( for about 5 seconds....
  25. I like both. Mostly clothes and accessories from Golfsmith and clubs, etc. from Roger Dunn. They have a really good used golf selection and the price is very reasonable (Roger Dunn for used clubs)!! It depends on what you're looking for :)
