Titleist 975D 9.5* loft ProForce Gold 65 Shaft Grip is in good condition, standard size. Paint is bad on head, I was considering re-painting and would be willing to do so for the buyer in the color of their choice for an extra $5-10 depending on price of paint. There are no dents or dings though and the club works just as it should. Reason for selling: I would like to get something slightly more forgiving. $45 shipped - Offers and trades considered.

I have a nice R11 T3 wood for sale. I am selling to make room in my bag for a driver (need to learn how to hit one sooner or later) Blur 70g Stiff Flex Shaft Everything Stock and Standard Small paint chip near hosel and a couple scratches at the top of face. Overall it is in great shape from grip to head. Comes with headcover and tool. $175.00 + actual shipping cost I accept paypal only. Message me with any questions, thanks!

I think Tiger will play okay. It is a good field, so I doubt he will contend but will have a decent showing. Some good, some bad, ultimately I believe he will be around 15th. I like Jason Day to win, he has been in contention enough that some of the nerves should be gone or at least fading.

Driver? What's that?...got my T3 wood today.

So I broke down and got an R11 T3 wood '14*' which arrived today (stock blur 70 stiff). I played 18 after work with it today and it was impressive. It went roughly 10-15 yards farther than my 15* superfast 3 wood, but man is it accurate. The feel is more sturdy and has a nice sound off the face. Being able to hit a slight fade in addition to a draw is a huge plus. I attacked narrow par 4s with no problems which was awesome. I hit more fairways in todays round than the last 2-3 rounds. The ball flight is nice and I was complimented on the distance which is always cool (the accuracy is way cooler to me). I shot a +1 37 on the back for my best 9 at my new home course. I have not had a driver all season and now I don't feel like I am sacrificing anything. If you get the chance, check it out. I had a one hole adjustment period (the only fairway I missed) so dont be scared off by the looks. The white looks very nice especially in the bright sun. I will say I am not a huge fan of the black face, I am sure it will look horrible pretty quick, not a big deal though. All in all I would rate the club a solid 4.5/5: Appearance: 4/5 Sound: 4/5 Accuracy: 5/5 Distance: 5/5 Feel: 4/5 I will plan to report back if any 'honeymoon' feelings end, haha. -
Couldn't agree with you more. When I stopped doing that I put the ball closer to the pin and eliminated the risk. Of late I have been taking a lot of risks trying to find what holes are okay to be aggressive with and which must be played in a "boring" fashion. This has me playing from many more bunkers and attempting shots I wouldnt normally have to take. It can be frustrating because I am scoring anywhere from 5-8 strokes (penalties and punch outs add up quickly haha) higher per round, but I try to just keep myself focused on developing some feel in my game.

Thanks again guys, I will see about pics after I play this afternoon (they are quite dirty right now).

i removed the old paint with acetone and my pocket knife, it removes easy with something pointed. I did a set of the old vrs as well and they came out even better. The blades are easiest. Good luck.

Anyone play a 3+ wood? I am leaning toward a superfast 2.0, Nike vr or new vr pro. Anything else tht should stand out? Thanks!
-
yeah i hear ya, buying the latest and greatest is cool but painful. I wish they made a 13 or 13.5 in the original superfast. Can many pro shops bend a wood?
-
Is that a private deal, or is there more than one of said 3+ woods available? If so I am thinking you need to pm me about it I am, however, leaning toward an R11 or superfast 2.0 T3 wood. My 3w is stupid easy to hit any way you want to, but both are a bit pricey. Anyone have experience with the R9 woods?, this might be a better option for me.

Who else feels like they rush when they are playing?

It's a blur, if you are thinking at that point you are screwing yourself. -
Need Advice: Reshaft or Buy New Equipment
tws1098 replied to Jason Valencia's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
If you really like what you have, re-shafting is the way to go. -
I'll get some close ups later, but to be honest they look a little better from 5 feet haha. I plan to redo a couple due to poor paint quality (old). I actually used my girlfriends fingernail polishes, some of the metalic colors look really cool. You can buy them for a $1 a piece at wal-mart too. I suggest you go with a lady friend though or you may get a few looks haha. Thanks for the compliments though, I love them. They feel very nice and are the most consistent clubs I have hit.

Just wanted to throw up a pic of my new clubs since I have finally found irons, wedges, and a putter I love. Thanks to a member here I got the Pro Combos a couple weeks ago and just finished doing the swoosh in all different colors. Yes there is some pink, it actually looks pretty good. The wedges were on sale at globalgolf, as was the burner rescue in the top of the pic. I would like to add a 3+ wood to tee off with (love the control), but then I will be done tinkering for once....well for now haha. Anyone else play the Pro Combos? How do you like them? Anyone play a 3+ wood? Recommendations?

My cousin plays ignites and they seem to have helped his game. I have seen scratch - high handicaps playing slingshots, and I liked the 4Ds I demoed. I play the vr pro combos now and think they are suitable for a fairly wide range of players. Look for used on ebay and globalgolf. I have bought and sold a lot lately and it has helped me get what I have for next to nothing. Buying new clubs is kind of like buying a new car, great value can be found in used. Good luck.

Splits are sold. Blades still available. $125 + ship.

I am thinking between 3 and 5, I said 3. I do think he could be great, but I am not convinced just yet. Besides, 3 majors is pretty good.

Help need drill to limit pushing drives

Do you have a consistent pre-shot routine? Sometimes small grip changes in position and pressure can lead to inconsistencies. -
Help need drill to limit pushing drives

Quick fixes would be to move the ball farther forward in your stance and to even out your tempo. Do you start a round well, then it gets worse? Or is it the same all the time? -
Sorry for the sideways video, I could not rotate it for some reason. Let me know what you guys think, I have continued to tweak since posting my first videos. My big focus has been on head position and a smooth backswing (slowing it down).

Post-mortem: 130 to 88 in 6 months... what worked, what did not.
tws1098 replied to johnclayton1982's topic in Golf Talk
Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. Anyway, to the OP this was a great read. I was thinking about detailing my 2 year journey from 100+ to 79 (which just happened last week...woo). But yours seems more impressive having done what you did in 6 months. -
What kind of Pitching wedge do you use?
tws1098 replied to FryemanTX's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
This may be ill advised by some but I would go with blades as far up in the set as you can. I hit my 8i blade as good or better than my dads cavityback. To each their own but I enjoy the control I have with blades in my 8-pw.
