ahhh, I see what you are saying now. thank you.

thank you, I can feel that but I always thought my grip was correct. I'll definatly work on that tommorow. So my hips are rotating early?? I think thats why I'm coming so far inside right off. So my shoulders should start in the rotation first and then my hips?? is this correct? thanks for your input!

I'm currently uploading some of my swing videos. my, down the line, swing video will be up later, I can't find my charger for my camera and it just died. I am coming over the top just slightly, its a problem that I have been working on for a while. I bring the club back a little on the inside. There are a couple other flaws i'm working on. let me know what you think, and sorry the video is dark, I had been out there all day and just decided to get my camera out last minute!! thanks. Club is a 7 iron.

I just play what is comfortable with me. Not what someone else plays or supposedly plays..

Five reasons I'll be watching the Euro Tour this year
getTwisted replied to uttexas's topic in Tour Talk
Good points, I have also been watching the Euro tour, they really have some deep fields and I hope it continues. -
I've played mizuno golf clubs most of my life. my first set was mp-14 blades, then I went to callaway irons, then to ping irons then back to mizuno, and I haven't look back since!! I'm currently hitting MP-32 blades and couldn't be happier. Some of the best irons and wedges in the game. I just purchased a brand new set of MP-T wedges to replace my Clevelands.

when the weather turns around, I will play or practice 6 days a week, but right now with the highs in the mid 20's I can only dream of practicing. I work 40-45 hours a week, but when daylight savings gets here, I will get to practice after work. I guess I do more practicing than playing.

I may go this route, thanks for the input.

I get what you mean Verse, and its a good idea, but if you bend a 52* to a 54* I think the bounce will go up...correct?
-
Thanx for the input guys. I do use my pitching wedge for full swing shots, I rarely use it to chip with. as fas as my cg10's are I have a specific yardage I like to hit the 58* and the 56*. The 54* I use as my feel club and I hit various shot with it from around the green to 110 yards. I do like to hit my 58* from bunkers and I should probably start using my 56* instead.
-
I play Cleveland wedges. CG10's to be exact 54* with 1 dot (low bounce 8*) because I like using it around greens on tight lies. 56* with 2 dots (mid bounce I think 10*) for general use and various lies. 58* with 3 dots (high bounce) for sand, and rough, and I also hit flop shots out of the rough with it. This is the setup I have played for a long time, and it seems to be all in all a good battle plan for most any situation, but I want to buy some new wedges and stick with the Cleveland brand, but I can never find any that have the current setup I have now. I always see 58* and 60* lob wedges with low bounce 1 dot or maybe 2. and 54* with high bounce 2 or 3 dots. its exactly backwards from what i am use to. makes me feel like my wedge setup is wrong. I know everyone is different and I should get the setup that feels correct to me, but I was just curious if anybody else runs across this problem? or maybe i need to change my loft/bounce up a little? I know this topic has been beaten with a stick probably.

good advice. thank you!

sounds good, if we have any decent weather in January or February i will hit you up and we will play it. I'm looking forward to it. I went and saw a local swing coach today and he was very impressed with my swing, but said i really need to focus on my short game..so practice, practice now. I'm pretty stoked, just need the weather to cooperate. do you have any kind of link for this pick up 18tour?

I didn't have any charlotte tournaments planned, but to be honest I forgot that the charlotte tour was different than the triad/Raleigh/sandhills tour. I wouldn't mind playing that tournament at the Warrior in June. but it looks like the other tournaments will conflict with the ones I had planned. If you want to get together and play the warrior sometime so i could get a look at it, that would be great. are you going to play any of the triad events??

thank you, that means a lot, especially from some one with a very high skill level. I've got it in me to do well I just need to stay with it and I have an amazing girlfriend that is backing me 100%. unfortunately the weather here is keeping the golf courses closed, but I have been hitting range balls since the snow has melted, I am striking the ball very well. I do work 40 hrs a week also, but when I'm not at work and its to dark to hit golf balls I have a good workout program I stick to for strength, balance and flexibility. I already have my amateur tour schedule prepared for 2010 which has me playing all over NC which includes a few pinehurst courses. My goal is 3 wins. the most I've ever had in 1 season is 2 wins (in 2008). I am playing in the A flight which is 6-10 handicap i believe. I hope that I can play good enough that my tour director will move me to the championship flight toward the end of the year. thanks again Ben and good luck to you in 10'.

lol. funny stuff. -
I play on the eGolf amateur tour. I bet its the same one you play in. I live just north of winston-salem. they have a professional side called the eGolf professional tour. Thats were I want to be in 3 or 4 years.
-
actually the local pro tour here is $2,000 membership fee, $1,000 entry fee. and anywhere from $220,000-$300,00 total purse, with $30,000 - $50,000 going to the winner. and a link: http://www.egolfprofessionaltour.com/

I agree and I do love to practice. I just hope I'm practicing the right things.

I have just recently started keeping stats, I think its something that is going to help a great deal. do you parctice a lot on the range, or play for practice? thanks for your input.

I am fairly new to this forum, I have just recently added my profile, but have been reading over the forum for several weeks. I currently play on an amateur golf tour, competition is pretty fierce and it is hard to win sometimes. My handicap hovers around a 6 or 7. I do practice quite a bit and I have swing coach I go see every once in a while (when I can afford it). The problem is no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get to the next level, I seem to be stuck. My goal is to be able to play on a mini tour within the next few years, but I'm not dominating my amateur tour enough to do so. I've been playing this tour for the last 4 years and have only won a handful of tournaments. I know there could be hundreds of variables that are keeping me from stepping up, but I feel like my head is in the right place I'm just not scoring like I should. If there are any professionals/mini tour players that would like to chime in that would be great, maybe give me a few pointers on practice, tournament play, fitness, whatever you want to say, anything that may help. also, if you have any questions for me, feel free to ask! thank you hope this is in the right section!!
