  1. 76.... 3 birdies, 11 pars, 1 bogey, 3 doubles.... 2 doubles early in the round and then another double and a bogey on the last 3. Greened a 330 yard par 4, hit a 480 yard par 5 with driver, 8 iron. It was pretty windy and you were either into it or with it. Not a bad day all in all
  2. A4OS, Pro Gold..... The new Super Black is SWEAT!!!!!!
  3. Expirimenting, still have the trusty 907 with the V2. Im trying to work on my tempo, I have a tendency to get a little wild off the tee. I waste a lot of shots punching out and crap like that and I end up scrambling for pars more than anything else. I went lighter (only other option in this shaft was 85g, which I have never ventured into the plus 80g realm on a driver) and up one flex to see what that does for me. I also stuck the 909D3 head on this shaft, low launch low spin head. I have the Comp NT 65g in my 3 wood and a nice easy swing from the deck and its a solid 250. I also like the way the shaft feels too. It doesnt feel like I have to swing as hard to get the most out the shaft. If it doesn't work well @ Cog Hill this Sunday it will be for sale in a week or two. Only hit it on the range and its hard to tell exaclty what its gonna be like. It feels nice and the ball flight is exactly where I want it but it usually ends up different on the course. I agree with whoever told you the V2 is stout. It feels like a board.
  4. Becareful with the specs you read online..... The "made for shafts" are different specs than the real ones.
  5. you should be paying more attention to the shaft characteristics than the flex. I used a S in the V2 76g, low launch, 2.2 torque, mid/high kick. In the Comp NT 65g I use an X, Mid launch, 3.1 torque. Flex has more to do with swing speed and tempo than ball flight My swing speed is around 110-112 with a very quick transition, from the videos Ive tken of my swing it looks like I almost stop at the top of my swing. I can load a 75-80g shaft pretty well. VS Proto is low launch low spin, I would look into the V2 65g and you may find what your looking for

    Age

30 years old, playing since 10 or 11 ish?
  7. 12* driver and 56...... thought he already had a driver...... thanks sean for making me re read
  8. Good for you, get what u like.... Its ur money and ur game
  9. forget the 3 wood, most people cant hit them. get a 4 or 5 wood, and a 56* sand wedge and your golden. I have a Callaway Steelhead 4 wood for sale cheap. PM me if interested.
  10. You'll be fine, look at it this way, EVERYONE was playing blades when that was all they had. The MP57 are not that big of a deal anyway. Nice clubs, out of my price range but demo'd them and they are not hard to hit at all. You will become a better ball striker.
  11. They weight 120 and 100 uncut. I have the KBS Tour and love them. I wouldn't go light, same as Iacas, I get wild with a lighter club.
  12. 78.... 41 front 37 back. 8/18 GIR, 6/15 fairwaiys, 32 putts. Started DBL, BOG, BOG, then 12 straight pars and finished with 3 BOGS. Not a bad day all in all...... definately had my scranblin game on.
  13. Its allllllllll good. I never even heard of Brunswick shafts tho
  14. R400 is the same weight as an S200..... the numbers correspond with weight not stiffness. The R400 has a weight spread of 7g's over the R200...... So it will still be a Regular Flex, but will FEEL a little stiffer because of weight. It will also be a little less swing weight but not much, a gram or 2 under the S300
  15. I beg to differ with you sir and do not mean to cause an argument but here you go: http://www.truetemper.com/golf/produ...&products;_id=2 The 200,300,400 is weight not frequency
  16. If he didn't ask for them back wait for him to ask you for them, he already gave you your money back, so you are pretty much in the clear. I have always wondered how these fake pos's perform. Maybe you should start a thread and document how crappy they really are.
  17. In my search for a driver shaft I found a candidate. Its a Fuji Rombax 5W06 S 44" length. Question: Its a butt trim only shaft, can I take 1/4" to 1/2" off of it to counter the 55g weight? Will it play closer to an X or will it not be noticable?
  18. 50/54/58...... The PW in my set is 46.... If I procure a new gamer set with a 48 PW, I would most likely go to 52/56 and only carry 2.... Have a mental issue with 60 degree wedges..... 3 of them sitting in the bottom of ponds
  19. Thats alot of closely lofted hybrids, you ever think about dropping the 3 wood and adding a wedge? I contemplated getting a hybrid to replace 3 wood but the length of the club made the distance less and more accurate but how many times am I really expecting to put the ball on the green from 250 out. I went to a 17* 4 wood which just wasnt enough, settled on a 16* 3 wood and so far so good
  20. I hate my 3 iron, I hit my 4 iron just as far and more accurate....... Incidently, I don't carry either anymore...... Never really used them, 23* hybrid is 205-215ish, 5 iron is 185-195ish.....
  21. He didn't buy them for himself, this was a blatant attempt at making some money, he is Lefthanded. Just bought some R7's from 3balls.
  22. R is regular flex, 400 refers to the weight. ie. R200, R300, R400 (all the same flex, but the 400 will feel stiffer bcuz of the weight) S200, S300, S400 (same here) If you are playing KBS's now and you want to keep the R400's I would suggest hard stepping them once. But on a hard step you will have to buy all new shafts anyway. I am not a fan of shaft extenders.
  23. I have an 822OS 5 iron that I will swap out with my 762 5 iron when I am not striking the 5 iron well
  24. Seller cannot leave negative feedback.......
