  1. Im loving my TOP ROCK, but in my foursome I am also, mr toplong and topspin and their spending close to double... Also, most srixon products are underated... I love their z star line of balls, and their irons and they are never talked about in the states on this side of the pond, but apparently a big thing in europe
  2. Im changing my vote to the walter hagens... there almost full mens clubs but seem to be cut down about an inch and half
  3. As as hybrid, I would go to golfsmith and build your own hybrid using Golf Smith's brand called Snake Eyes. You can custom your own shaft on it and the price ends up very reasonable around 50 bucks. Also, you could look at Texan Hybrids on Amazon which run under 15 bucks a piece and i play two of them and I love em... Good Luck
  4. Its a great game.. I play it a lot when I wanted to play and it rained and just in the winter in general...
  5. We only play in Spring..... Also thanks for the advice... and it seems actually very logical
  6. Ive heard that the traveling is a bit and should be expected if you want to experience 'it.' But one of the things that isnt known about the experience is that the individual tournaments can be very expensive.
  7. I suffered this same problem a couple years ago and I agree, get him a set of older clubs with very weak flex that will be relatively cheaper than a newer set and in 2-3 years hand yours down to him. I went with a cheap set with 'light flex' of callaway x-12s (yes the original x-series) and now I am about to step up into TM r7s but for his driver I would use a regular shaft because he will swing harder and let him if you choose.
  8. I am a newbie around here but I really need some help on my decision with drivers. I have a Titleist 983K 10.5 degree driver.. aka the most crackable driver that Titleist has ever made… with a large crack in it towards the top of the face. This crack led me to buy a new driver, the Taylormade r5 dual and the change has been very difficult. The bigger club head is really difficult for me to control and the slice on the r5 is a terrible weak one, and the 983K barely slices unless I put a very bad swing on it. Also, it seems a bit too light so here is my problem. Which driver should I use? Also, I am contemplating putting a heavier shaft to match their weights or possibly a good amount of led tape on the driver, possibly the side that would stop me from slicing? I need some ideas because high school golf season is soon!
  9. I would definitely trust the TM burner irons out of those three. Also, if i were you I may also want to consider Callaway Big Bertha irons. Which are similar to the burners but I believe even more forgiving.
  10. I tried a Snake Eyes (Golfsmith) brand woods that were really the sixe of hybrids and it worked quite well. This would also be a cheaper way to experiment with them first and go all out later.
  11. I love my 2H its a very solid club, but i also love my 5W so i decided to carry only 4 irons due to my 4 hybrids and 4 wedges. I would suggest to you to remove possibly a 4 or 6 iron because anytime you are hitting a 4 unless you love it you should probably be hitting club that is easier to hit anyway.
  12. There is a lot of talk about the whole so called "players irons." But you shouldnt change from cavities to blades just because of some calculated number. Ive played with a buddy that only played blades ever till 2 years ago and its taken him awhile to get used to it. Even some pros are switching to some more cavity backs on some of their irons mostly being their lower ones, but still.
  13. All the golf pride models are great... i recommend using the one with two parts and just choosing your favorite color
