I bought the RBZ Stage 2 and it's just another white headed driver to me. I am a 5 handicap and my SS is 108-115. My gamer is a 2001 Adams Redline Ti 460. I have yet to find a driver that is longer than this one. I have a new Titleist 910 D2, Callaway Razr Fit Extreme and the RBZ.

Need opinions on Voodoo NV driver shaft...

I guess nobody has experience with this shaft? I installed it in the 9015D head and have yet to take it to the range. -
Launch Monitor Numbers - What is Optimum?
davbrucas replied to snowman0157's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Which Rombax shaft do you have in your driver? Your spin rate is high. My numbers from today... SS 115 LA 14.5 Spin 2350 This is with the Adams driver in my sig which is a 60g Fujikura shaft. I hit the ball 290-320yds (GPS) here in south Texas in the summer. -
Need opinions on Voodoo NV driver shaft...
davbrucas posted a topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I currently play with my old Adams Ti460 with the stock Fujikura G60 in stiff flex. I have played this club for 10yrs and it is still the hottest club I have owned. I got some LM data yesterday with this club...SS 114, LA 16*, BS 2250rpm, Ball Speed 165mph. I dont remember the average carry but my total distance was around 310yds. I have another driver...Adams 9015D head in the UST Proforce V2 shaft which I do not like. I am looking for a shaft for the 9015D to use as a backup...I would prefer a shaft with a little lower launch but with similar numbers otherwise. A friend has the Voodoo NV that he took out of his driver since his SS is under 100mph and he didnt like it. I believe it is the SNV6. Is this club worth installing in my Adams head? Thanks in advance. I have swung the SVS6 in a FTiz head and it felt okay...just couldnt get over the ugly look to that head. -
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may have to go try another F3 but with different shafts.
-
Heck, I dont even remember which shaft was in it. Likely stock...I may give it anther try with a different shaft.
-
Yup, I know the shaft controls the trajectory. Just wanted some suggestions on what clubs to demo so I dont spend so much time trying to find the right one. I had the 909F3 for about a day...didnt like it but it was more the low launch shaft.
-
I tee the ball pretty high...a tad bit more than half the ball is above the clubface. I never pop it up and there are no sky-marks on my club. You just have to put the ball further forward in your stance to catch it on the upswing and not the downswing or at the bottom of your arc.
-
I am looking to get a new 3W soon and need some suggestions. My current one is in my sig...I hit it a ton off the tee but I dont like it off the ground. What club do you feel is the easiest to hit off the deck with a nice, high trajectory? Thanks.

UST Proforce V2 is a good shaft that meets your requirements but wont break the bank. If you can afford it, go with the UST Mamiya ATTAS.
-
The stock shafts on the G10s were unimpressive...
-
If I were you I would have went with the G10 with a VooDoo shaft.
-
No...the FT9 is MUCH more forgiving than the FT5. You ordered one without hitting it? LOL...you come here asking for advice on which driver to get and many gave you some good suggestions, but you decided on another that wasnt recommended based on someone elses recommendation. Heres a novel idea...buy one based on your observations...not others opinions. Good luck with your club.

The UST V2 is not a high kick/low launch shaft.
-
Any shaft with a higher kick point will get you the results you want. Speeder 757 Grafalloy Blue (not prolaunch) Grafalloy Prolaunch Red Fujikura Vista Tour Diamana White Board

I bought a head off ebay that is 9.5deg. I was gonna put my Grafalloy Epic in the head but the shaft is .350 and the head is .335, so instead of waiting and ordering another shaft I just had the shop install one that they had in house. The UST Proforce V2 in stiff and 67g. The UST website says that this club is for 90-100mph SS and smooth tempo. My SS is 105-109mph with my normal swing. I have a pretty quick tempo and a short backswing...which shouldnt fit this shaft. The first thing I noticed about this club is that the face is pretty hot. Not as hot as my Redline Ti460 but hotter than the FT-iz that I have...and any other big name driver that I have hit. The trajectory is about the same as my Redline...high, straight ball that doesnt balloon. Just takes off and goes forever. The club feels a bit light with the shaft and Winn Lite grip but I can feel the clubhead just fine and only hooked two balls. At the range I went to, there is another set of tees 340yds down range which face back toward our teeing area. The range is flat and you can see the ball hit and roll. I hit several balls that rolled up onto the teeing ground down range. I was getting some good roll out despite the high launch with this club. I am a believer in the hype on here and wrx about this club. I was hitting some similar shots with my gamer, however. Adams sure knows how to make golf clubs. I found that I couldnt overpower this club despite the website saying that it was for slower SS and tempo players. I did swing the S flex heavier 77g Proforce shaft but with the 909D2 head and I liked it as well...but the shop that built my club didnt have one in stock. I would need to swing it with the 9015D head compared to the one I have to make a better comparison.

Took my new FT-iz Tour to the course today...
davbrucas replied to davbrucas's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I may need to weight to the head if I keep on overswinging it and yanking it left. If I focus on getting my hips going I hit it straight with a slight draw. Mine is a Tour model so they do make it. -
My Adams Redline Ti 460 driver. This thing is still the hottest driver I have ever hit.

I have hit the G10 and G15 with the stock shafts and didnt like them. With a shaft fitted for my swing, they would probably be much better. I have never hit a Cleveland driver though. -

Nope. I still hit my Redline further than this one...time will tell if my consistency is better with it. Whats the deal with the Edge? -
I was given a new Callaway FT-iz Tour in 9.5deg with the Voodoo shaft. My SS is 108-112 here lately. Anyway, it looks awful strange at address compared to my more conventional Adams Redline. I have had the Redline for 10yrs since I hit it so well, but I may have found a replacement. The first thing I noticed is how light the club is...I changed to the new Winn mid-size grip that is supposed to be lighter. Anyway, the ball really explodes off of the face of this club. I did have a case of the lefts with it at first but it was more of a swing issue than the club. When I straightened it out, I hit 3 consecutive shots of 316, 321 and 322yds. The trajectory was a high draw that did roll out about 15-20yds (I could see where it hit in the fairway and where it ended up). Overall, I am very excited with the potential of this club. I did notice that it was easy to overpower with how light it is, but this should be an easy fix when I get it to the range. I hit this club MUCH better and further than the FT-9 Tour with the same shaft. The sound was different than the FT-9 as well. More high pitched than the dull thud of the FT-9. It really lets you know when you hit it dead center...I like the sound. If you are in the market for a new driver, and have a swing speed above 100, I would give this one a try. (My friend who swing around 90mph didnt hit it so well). I think this one is a keeper.

Why am I hitting my irons off the toe?
davbrucas replied to davbrucas's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Hey Tiger, dont you have some hookers to be humping? ;) No, but they are std length and lie which I have always played. -
Why am I hitting my irons off the toe?
davbrucas replied to davbrucas's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I appreciate the info...it looks like I am standing up a bit, as well as getting a bit too much lateral movement on the way back on my backswing...this leads to difficulty getting back to my address position...and shots off the toe or fat. I just picked up these swing flaws in the past couple of months. I usually shoot mid 70s, and now I am having struggling to break 80. I have some range work to do... -

Went to the range today. I moved a touch closer to the ball aligning the ball near the heel and worked on my release point and this seemed to help. Thanks for the tips.
