  1. Day 60 - Another busy day today, did a few minutes of putting practice.
  2. Day 59 - Just did a few minutes of short pitches with a 56* wedge today.
  3. Day 58 - Busy day today with family issues, so I only got a little putting practice done.
  4. This ^^^^^ After a 10-year hiatus from golf, I started playing again when I retired in 2019 (aged 63). Frankly, the effects of (i) not playing for 10-years and (ii) getting older resulting in my having a really slow swing speed. For me, lofted fairway woods are the way to go because I am able to hit them higher and with less dispersion than either the related iron or hybrid. Also, as @WUTiger noted above in his comments about the ginty, they can be pretty flexible in terms of the type of shots one can hit. As an example, Michelle Wie was known to hit 180-yard stingers with hers.
  5. Day 57 - Indoors practiced setup and low point control for chip and run and soft landing chip shots.
  6. Day 56 - Putting practice today: mirror with putter gate, devil ball and Putt-out perfect putt challenge.
  7. Day 55 - Played 9-holes at East Greenwich CC today. First 3 were pretty rough, but then I hit some good shots. While I did not always execute on the shot, I also did not make any bad decisions. Needless to say, it is great to get a chance to play in February in NE.
  8. Day 53 - Chip and run shots in the yard today with my 49* wedge.
  9. Day 52 - Putting practice today; 6 foot putts, 10 right hand only, 10 left hand only, 10 both hands (the one had drill from Stan Utley's book).
  10. Day 51 - Practiced hitting wedge shots, using my 49* wedge and AlmostGOLF balls, with three different length backswings in the yard today.
  11. Day 50 - Block practice today on chip and run shots in the yard. About 10 shots each with my PW, 59* and 54* wedges.
  12. Day 49 - Good Trackman session today! 1) Was able to determine the optimum setting for my Ping G400 Max driver (small -). 2) Practiced 35 and 50 yard pitch shots 3) Tested which 49* wedge worked best for me. 4) Determined where I have more work to do.
  13. Day 48 - Chipping and pitching practice in the yard today with my 54* wedge. Trackman session planned for tomorrow. Friday is supposed to be 56*, so hopefully I can get in 9-holes.
  14. Day 47 - Putting practice today, using the mirror to make sure that my eyes and shoulders are consistently aligned. It turns out that they were not so more work needed.
  15. Day 46 - More chipping in the yard today, this time with 54* wedge. After the first 5 or so (warm-up) I went through my pre-shot routine, including picking a landing spot, for each one and tried to visualize the shot beforehand. The motion was for a chip and run shot.
  16. Day 45 - Nice day so I did some chipping practice in the yard, using various clubs.
  17. Day 44 - Putting practice today, focusing on making sure that my eyes were properly aligned.
  18. Day 43 - Slow motion wedge swings in the house today, practicing the movement for different swing lengths.
  19. Day 42 - Since I can't top @boogielicious's erudite description of his practice today, I won't even try, LOL. Busy day today so just a few minutes putting practice (mostly on pre-putt routine) and chipping with my 49* wedge and an AlmostGOLF ball.
  20. ...when we're not playing lets find Bob's ball that is 😁
  21. Day 41 - Slow motion backswings with an 8-iron. Putting practice including re-doing the vision test and practiced aiming from various spots on the rug to a target, left and right hand swings and more work on my pre-putt routine.
  22. Looking good! I like the bright RED ball!
  23. Day 40 - Pre-putt routine work today. Focused on keeping my eyes on the line, not freezing over the ball and starting with a trigger.
  24. Day 39 - Outside again today; I practiced low point control with my 9-iron.
