  1. r7 $100(bought from a member here) Adams Ovation 2 $35 Adam Pro Idea 3h $45 Irons: $120 Wedges: 30 for used 60 vokey Putter: 80 Hey what can I say, I will get better clubs once I get better and consistent.
  2. The Adams Pro Black or Pro Gold have an iron like appearance at address. Here are pictures of my 3h and 4h. The 3h is a Adams Pro and the 4h is a Tight lies and more of a fairway like appearance. Pic of my 2 hybrids: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...G/GEDC0371.jpg I am not sure if this is what you are asking about. I have seen some hybrids clubs that are skinnier but have a larger face.
  3. Went to Edwin Watts and bought a used Vokey non SM 60degree wedge, a serpent odyssey blade headcover, and some zero friction blue tee's. Not sure if the tees will make any difference but they looked kind of cool.
  4. I used to own a Cleveland HiBore XLS and I loved the thing except the sound. It made this really loud noise of someone hitting a aluminuml bat. It really irritated me to no end and my best friend almost refuses to play a round if I bring it.
  5. I wear a black Titleist or Atlanta Braves hat. Made the mistake last year wearing a visor in SC heat. I am bald, so the top of the head was tanned/burned and underneath the visor was burned. If I had painted my eyes green, I could have been green lantern.
  6. 2 sets. 1. Spalding Execs 2 2. Adams Tight lies
  7. The Jets will lose to the Colts in the championship game because Indy has basically the best run defense in the league and Jets thrive off that. I think Vikings will be too much for Brees and the saints with Jared Allen raining down on him. Vikings over Colts 38 - 35 Favre and AP too much for Colts to handle.
  8. Trust me, I miss hit all the time to annoy the crap out of him with the sound. Can't get rid of a good friend who really ignited my passion for the sport beyond watching the majors.
  9. Clubs kind of suck and I am trying to get some Vokey wedges from a friend. No and I do need some lessons big time. But the sound problem is a major problem because I can't play with a buddie because the noise gives him headaches and I stated that I can't stand it either. IDK why though.
  10. OMG no, the results are fine for what I expect them to be. It is me causing slices and hooks but that comes with growing pains. I like the look but it is just the awful noise just really gets to me. I actually feel very confident with it. For some reason that aluminum bat noise is just way too loud.
  11. I am possibly looking into a new driver. I am new player and I don't like my Cleveland HiBore XLS 10.5 deg. I have about 3-4 rounds into it and I have a slight dent at the bottom of the driver and I can't remember every smashing it to the ground. That is the minor gripe, my main gripe is this thing sounds like an aluminum bat and is loud as heck. I am looking into buying something new or used from a golf shop but I am drawing blanks about possible drivers such as the TM Burners. I am trying to spend about $100-120ish. Something forgiving if possible but this thing I think has to go; any help is appreciated. Pic of dent(by the 10.5 mark): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...G/GEDC0361.jpg
  12. Thanks, I may take you up on your offer once I get some more experience and rounds under my belt. I might shoot the course record for highest score, lol.
  13. I will say that Tiger is the better athlete but it is hard to argue 18 championships to Tiger's 14. In ten years time I think tiger will truly distance himself as the best but he has to beat Jack first.
  14. Hello from Taylors, South Carolina. I just started playing golf about 7 months ago and loved it too death. I have always enjoyed golf as a sport to watch for many years. The reviews on the front page are what captured my attention, especially the Stack and Tilt book review by Eric, and I signed up. I have been lurking the last few days but never posted because you never what you get when you join a community. Everyone here has been very insightful into different aspects of golf, much more than the many videos I have watched on youtube.
  15. iacas, I would like to peronally thank your review of the book. It pretty much the reason why I signed up for the forums; everyone seems to be really knowledgeable and courteous. I am new golfer with only about 4-6 rounds played and this book has very easy drills that reinforce what certain thing they are trying to teach and I love it. Very easy to understand and I plan to read it several more times when I am finished. I plan to fully convert to S&T; once I get some of the key points down to a science.
  16. 1. I want to break into the low 90's atleast once this year 2. Practice, Practice, Practice especially with putting and pitch and chip shots 3. Read Stack and Tilt; practice it and fully convert to the S&T; 4. Hit the ball consistently with wedges as I can not hit well at all 5. Play more rounds at better courses
  17. You will have to forgive me as I am a new golfer that has only about 4-6 rounds total of play and probably qualify for this every shot. The craziest bad shot I have ever seen was like my second round, it was my friend, his mother, mother's boyfriend and grandfather. It was the 4th hole on a par 5 544 yds. He(mother's boyfriend) pulls out the Hammer driver that I think everyone is familiar with(that alone made me laugh my butt off), he proceeds to line up the shot and bellows "POW!!!" and shanks the ball perfectly to like a 45 degree angle into the the airport near by about 200 yards to our left. We all died laughing because not only did he shank it so bad, he broke the head of the hammer driver.
