  1. How are you liking the new blades?
  2. Hopefully I can get one soon and let you know.
  3. Just received my 20.5 M3 mashie last Friday and played it Sunday. I love this thing! Extremely easy to hit out of long wet rough and super easy off the fairway. I ended up using this instead of my # wood and driver. I was averaging about 185-195 yards with a slight fade. Has anyone used the M1 (15 deg) mashie yet? I am seriously thinking of replacing other clubs with these.
  4. Bringing a nice draw or fade into the green is what also helps the ball to roll sideways on the green torwards the pin.
  5. I purchased wedges from gigagolf and like them alot.
  6. If Tiger and Phil didn't do this, they wouldn't be half as good as they are. Their "save' shots are the only reason they are staying so hi in the world rankings
  7. I don't know what some of these people are doing to make grip install such a nightmare. I am glad more people are finding out how easy it is. PURE grips is the easiest grip to install. all you need is a small air compressor. Shaft install's aren't hard either if you are somewhat decent with tools.
  8. I was just looking at a pair of those sketchers this weekend. I am heading to the Seattle Golf show this Saturday to see what I can find. Hoping for some deals but I am prepared to spend the money if I need too to get a great oair.
  9. Okay, thanks. I guess my biggest thing is to not be a clone. I don't mind no name quality suff either, just can't get myself to like the "zing" clubs and such LOL
  10. Although I like Breed, I like that Martin isn't zooming through subjects as fast as Breed. I did notice in the last episode, he said you had to get your weight stacked on your forward leg. I like his teaching, but man I wonder if he feels as awkward as he looks in front of the camera. It must be nerves.
  11. I think you meant True Linkswear. http://www.truelinkswear.com/
  12. I was refering to Adams and such. Thanks!
  13. I was just wondering. I like to tinker with clubs, and can't seem to find any name brand clubheads. Do you have to be wholesaler? Just curious. I don't see the point of putting a really nice shaft on a knock off club head.
  14. One thing that I found helps me on concentrating on the area in front of the ball is to push a white tee all the way in flush with the ground about a putter head length in front of the ball(4"). Off setting the tee helps too. Either 1/2" inside or 1/2" outside of the straight plain. Open or close your face within those tees, and swing the club along the same line or more of the tee in the same direction to put a slight fade or draw on the ball Of course all this is during a practice round or driving range. But I found it works, and eventually trains you to automatically look at the spot in front of the ball.
  15. Just recieved this book for Christmas. My mother-n-law purchased it from a garage sale from someone who told her it is a useless golf book. LOL it seems pretty good to me. Although I find this book to be a good "study" and not a good read. The only advice I can give is to study one chapter at a time until you understand it.
  16. They are also known as "utility' clubs. And I found this to be true for me on Monday when I played a rock hard frozen course. I was about 30yards from the pin. To close to chip as the ground was to hard and would've blade the ball. So I used my hybrid to knock it onto the green. It worked great!
  17. I finally broke 100 with a 91. It wa a short par67 with no par 5's, but it was challenging and DAMN cold. started out at 28deg and ended the round at 36deg. The ground was rock hard and I saw some guys using there woods as hammers to drive T's into the ground. I couldn't use my driver or wood because I'm not that great of the deck when it is as soft as grass, much less concrete. I used only my irons for drives. LOL I am really good with my 4iron now. It was at The Nile golf course just north of Seattle. Now let's see if I can repeat it at Mt Si...
  18. Very nice golf porn! LOL I just looked at those S56's. I couldn't believe how light and nice they look. Congrats!!!!
  19. It depends on what you want. You don't have to buy clones to get a decent club. Check out gigagolf and such if you know your measurements. There are off brand clubs that aren't clones. Or buy an old set off craigslist and reshaft them. Thats fun to me. I will be buying a set of clubs, in component form to build my wife a set of clubs. I also plan on doing local tournements and such, and wanted a PROVIN quality club. There is cheap quality stainless steel, and good quality stainless. I say spend the extra little bit and you will not have to question your desicion.
  20. PEC....Performance Enhancing Clubs. LOL
  21. I have only read the first 2 lessons of this book, but just the grip lesson alone made a huge difference in my control. On the back swing, I stopped going as far back and keeping that tension between my upper body and hips with little hip turn. I am excited to see real improvements. It's a great read so far.
  22. Well, I played a round yesturday, and did pretty well(for me). My ping is heavier, so it's better for those lag putts. I still pared the par 3 for the second time. Now if I could just drive the ball straight...
  23. Played with her some more last. Still in love with it. I line it up better than my Anser, maybe because the line is longer. Not sure. I plan on playing a round tomorrow morning with it.
  24. I just recieved my putter from UPS. Callaway said like new, and it looks like brand new, with the acception of the golf shop cleaning the sticker glue off for me. I am not trying to fix anything by purchasing a new putter, Both of them feel great at address. I took her for a putt around the green on my lunch and I am very happy. Callaway PreOwned gets 2 thumbs up from me.
  25. I have the Pure Pro on my Hybrid just to test it out. I love it so far, and haven't had the desire to test the other 4 that I recieved from Pure, I like the Pro too much. I had about 45 seconds for installing it on a new shaft (only because I didn't have a vise). Looking to buy the whole set with air gun soon.
