  1. SQ2 Hybrids - 2,3,& 4. And bought the wife a NIKE SQ2 #7 fairway wood
  2. Oh, and my average distance is about 270 now. Im working to be 300
  3. I feel the same way most of the time. ive been playing for almost 2 years and about a 20 handicap, but play to an 18 I think. When I first started I had bad equipment, I quickly rendered that, and got good equipment. That solved some problems. I felt like I was always being told I should be a long hitter for my size, yet i wasn't. Im26 yrs old, 6'2" 240 lbs. and I was only hitting about 250. My buddy was smaller and was hitting around 300. I knew something was up. I got some lessons, and even had my instructor scratching his head. It wasn't until he swung my club that he realized the problem... THE SHAFT! I had a stiff shaft, but it had lots of tip flex and was spinning the ball out to the right. Even he did it! I went and got a different driver with a "real" stiff shaft and wall-ah. Straight and far... I went thru about 3 drivers before I found something that worked consistently. I used it for a year, and just recently got another new driver and it has the perfect shaft! Im straighter, but Im still working on the distance. I think its in my hips... I want to note this: ***It is impossible to tell a good driver from the right driver inside a store!!!*** If your golf store offers a 30, 60, or 90 day test time, use it!!! So far that's been my saving grace.
  4. You know when I bought my first set of clubs, No. When I bought my second set of clubs, sorta. I had them lengthened, but I didn't know anything about lie angle, etc... My third and current set I didn't get fitted either. I tried to, but the guy at "Golfsmith" said I was fine. He had me swing, put the tape on the club, etc... and everything was square in the middle. For some reason (besides my face constantly being open) I still fade EVERYTHING! Lately ive been wondering if I should go get a second opinion...? I try to take all the excuses out of my game, that when I play bad I know its just me.
  5. I really enjoyed it! I honestly had no idea that either of them were that good. I didn't think George Lopez took anything seriously. Haha. Very entertaining though, and man would I love to play that course. I would need about 2 balls a hole just to keep playing, but I would love to play it!
  6. I tried... I got nothin... I actually wanted to give it a shot. Im a Nike guy, but Im open to finding something better...
  7. I started small... A nice executive 18 hole course. I still play there once a week. Its great for short iron practice! http://www.birchhillsgolf.com/
  8. Water!!! Sometimes iced tea, or an Arnold Palmer... No Alcohol for me, it messes up whatever little game I have. I get too relaxed and stop caring. Hahaha
  9. Im kinda new to golf, but I know how nice SC putters are... and I just bought my second one. I agree with the frustrations from the people on here. I think its a bit ridiculous that people are aloud to price gouge on eBay for something that normally costs $35 from Scotty Cameron. I myself was looking for a "custom shop turbo blue" headcover, and only because it matches my blue dotted studio select putter I just bought three weeks ago. Those "stock" silver ones they give us are hideous! And ill admit that I wont put it on my putter. Im currently using an old SC Studio Stainless cover I found in a bargain bin at Roger Dunn. Does anyone know how we can have an opportunity to buy direct from Scotty for the "limited edition" stuff that they put out? Is that part of the club you gotta join? Does anyone happen to know if Scotty Cameron will deal with you from their building? Carlsbad is only 30-45 mins from me. It might be worth it to go there, but not if its despondent.
