  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS!!!!!!!! And more of it!! We all know when someone makes a good or bad swing. I dont need some old fat guy telling me Bubba Watson missed a putt. They really need to bring in more of the hotties and put them in tight pants and tops! Guaranteed to bring in more viewers, just like the local morning news has done as of late. JUST like SEAN_MILLER' avatar!!!!
  2. EXACTLY!!! And if these Pro's weren't as mentally strong there would be a lot of bruised and bloodied spectators… Hahaha
  3. Is anyone else as sick and tired of seeing that lame ass Medicus putter commercial as I am!? Really, does it need to come on every 10 mins.!? Not too mention its a stupid putter to begin with. Ive known 2 people that actually bought it (3 years ago when it came out) and both said it was a complete piece of crap!! "what do I call my medicus putter… money…" I just want to slap that guy everytime I see that commercial. And, has anyone else noticed the extremely poor photoshop editing that it has towards the end of the commercial where the ball moves all over the place and somehow goes in the hole when it was clearly offline to begin with?? Hahaha, SO LAME!!!
  4. Im with you man!! Its annoying as all hell!!!! I dont understand why these drunken retards even say it every freakin time. Like teeing off on a 550 yard Par 5… "GET IN THE HOLE" WTF!? Seriously?? Go drown yourself in the lake… You're a moron…
  5. Personally, I think they're overrated. Not in the sense that they aren't real good putters or that they aren't worth the money for some people. Me, I currently own two SC's and ive owned 5 more previous to now. Its not that I dont like the Scotty Cameron putters, its just that ive found a better putter… The Nike Method (original version, not the insert version) is a fantastic putter that rolls flawlessly. Even better than the Scotty Camerons. Take it for what it is worth. No putter is exactly the same, and no person putts the same. Putters are not like drivers where its been proven that one is superior than the other. Its all about feel, and whatever feels the best rolls the best and performs the best FOR YOU!!
  6. "Page Not Found" so its definitely a fake…
  7. I guess I should update this thread... There are several courses in Southern California that offer "free" rounds of golf for your birthday. These are the ones I have found: Hidden Valley (Norco) RedHawk (Temecula) Menifee Lakes (Menifee) Tustin Ranch (Tustin/Irvine) San Juan Hills (San Juan/Mission Viejo) Tustin Ranch is the best offer out there. Its a no strings attached, completely free round on your birthday. Not only tht but free range balls and a free lunch. Show up check in and play. Its that easy. Ive done this two years in a row now. Only problem some people may have is that it is good on your actual birthday ONLY. If they have a tournament or it rains or something then youre SOL. Its totally worth going though, as they claim to be one of the best semi private courses in OC, which I think is a joke because the place is nice, but no nicer than several other public courses in OC. Tustin Ranch is normally ridiculously expensive, & overpriced if you ask me. But free is good! Haha Hidden Valley out in Corona/Norco is a very nice course. Very challenging though. Lots of OB & Lateral hazards, so bring lots of balls. Hahaha. The deal here is you're free for your birthday as long as you bring 2 paying guests at full price which is $45 I think. Very fair price for this course. This deal is good 7 days before or 7 days after your actual birthday. San Juan Hills is the same as Hidden Valley. 2 paying guests gets you a free birthday round 7 days before or 7 days after your actual birthday. This course however is slightly overpriced in my opinion. They're just jumping on the "we're in Orange County so we think we can charge more" bandwagon. RedHawk is a pretty nice course down in Temecula. Its worth the drive in my opinion. The deal here is also a free birthday round 7 days before or after your birthday, all you have to do is pay for a cart. Hey, $15 for that course is a steal!! This is one I would recommend along with Tustin Ranch. Menifee Lakes is a 36 hole golf course. Its a decent layout, but the drive is a bit far for the condition of the facility. If you're like me, and you'll drive almost anywhere for a free round of golf, then its totally worth it. Again its a free round 7 days before or 7 days after your birthday, just pay cart fee. Take some buddies, and make a road trip out of it! 2 courses to choose from too. There are a couple other courses, but I can not remember which ones. I know for sure there is one down in San Diego, but ive never played it, & I dont remember its name. And I try to never go out to the LA area, but Im sure there is one or two out there as well.
  8. When did Dos Lagos start doing a free birthday round? This must be new, unless its a "members only" deal…
  9. That's cool. Sounds like a good deal. Read the small print though. I've found in the past that those vouchers tend to not be as good of a deal as they're made out to be. Hidden fees, limited to certain days, etc... If they're the real deal then that's great, but in my experience they haven't been that good. I also got that Black Gold one, which is also on their website from time to time, not just at the show.
  10. I have a solution for that... IF a return on your marketing investment is the goal, why not run show specials! And not some weak ass 10% discount. 20% at least!! That would draw tons of people who are looking to buy new products. If I'm in the market for new irons or a new driver, what better way to make a decision and buy than to have all the vendors there actually selling product at a better than retail price! It probably won't ever happen, mostly because of greed, but it's a solution. It works for "demo days."
  11. While I understand your point, and agree somewhat, I wish they would make a better effort to make this show something worth going to! Its not about getting what you paid for or free stuff, or crap like that. Its about giving consumers something new. Something they can enjoy, something that draws in the crowds and can actually HELP the vendor with exposure and product marketing. This is the "LA" Golf Show, not some small town show, this is Southern California!! We play golf all year round here. And our consumer market is huge compared to the rest of the country!! There's no possible way that a vendor can't see the value in being at a quality golf consumer show. They really should make a better effort to make this show better. Companies like Under Armor or Oakley or Travis Mathew could use the exposure. They are all great companies that make quality golf apparel, but most people dont know that because they are not the mainstream in golf like Callaway, Adidas or Nike… I just wish the show was of a higher quality than what it is at now & bringing in quality vendors is a good way to start.
  12. Nope. Nobody was there. It was a total joke...
  13. I never even thought to check mine. They're over a year old now, I guess I probably should.
  14. DONT GO!! Its a complete waste of time and money!! This is a negative review, but please dont think im being an ass for my explanations. Im not trying to be, but this is just an honest review of my opinion. And I really really wanted this year to be better than last year. Sadly, it wasn't… I went early, stood in line for an hour, was one of the first 500 people thru the door, got my two free Bridgestone e6 balls, a bag of junk mail, and a few 2 for 1 vouchers (the Black Gold one was cool)… but I was sorely disappointed with the rest! The Vendors this year are sooo lame its not even funny. Actually it is funny, but you know what I mean. Example: The very first vendor I came to was trying to market some swing aid that connects to your iPhone and tells you what your swing speed was, and how far you hit the ball. BUT THATS IT! No flight path, no direction, nothin' and for this they wanted $250 freakin dollars!?!?! No thanks… Aside from the ridiculous price it was super finicky, and didn't even work half the time. The ball had to placed just right to even get it to register anything. I normally hit an 8 iron about 145, and on the first swing it told me 136, thats fine, I wasn't warm, then another swing and it tells me 116. LOL, seriously!? Hahaha, I hit about 8 shots and only three balls actually registered. I picked them clean off the mat too, and never got anything above 118 WITH AN 8 IRON! Then the guy tries to tell me I was hitting it fat (which I wasn't). But Ok dude, whatever you say. I think your product is whack! Thats just one example. "Olympic Golf" is a retail store that was inside the show. Ive been to their actual store before. They're ridiculous!! $200+ for shoes that are on sale EVERYWHERE else for $99! Gimme a break! Roger Dunn… Umm come on guys, your "sales" are the same price as your in store prices!! The only deals I saw were a few good prices on golf balls, and they did have a bin full of almost new wedges from Cleveland and Titleist. Plastic still on the grips, but clearly been demo'd already. $60-$70 is ok, but not really any different than eBay. There's no Titleist tent with clubs to hit, just a tent doing quazi ball fitting. But even this was disappointing. Last year you got two 2 ball sleeves, this year only one. IF you go to the show get in this line early, because its a long one. TaylorMade tent had a huge line, but then again they do have a lot of new stuff that just came out recently. Same thing with Bridgestone. Long line. I guess they were doing fittings?? $12 for Parking, $10 to get in (without a coupon). They are claiming its bigger this year compared to last year, but it seemed much smaller to me. Only difference was a huge Ford booth in the middle of the hall. Overall it was a very poor showing for the golf industry. This show needs more REAL vendors, not this backyard golfer crap! That stuff is fine, but not when thats all they have. Where are the shaft companies like Aldila, UST, Matrix, etc…?? Where's Scotty Cameron? Where's Odyssey? they should have more putter manufacturers there also. I realize this isnt the PGA show, but why can't it be? Why can't it at least be more similar? $22 for 4 free balls (maybe!) no shopping deals, and a long line to demo clubs that you can demo at any golf shop 7 days a week??? Im not bitter, Im disappointed!!
  15. This ad is for a driver and two fairway metals as a package deal or sold individually. 1. Great condition PING G15 driver. 9 degrees, stiff Serrano shaft. Headcover included. $140 OBO. 2. Nike VR_S, R11S, or some Callaway JAWS wedges in vintage, non-CC would be prefered…
  16. Still for sale?
  17. Hahahaha. Honestly I find all the guys calling it "cheating" pathetic! It's still just a putter. You still have to make a good stroke with it and you can just as easily pull, push, & miss a putt with it. People are acting like its a magic stick that automatically makes an average joe into a tour pro. You're either afraid of it & Intimidated by it, or you're ignorant to what it actually helps a player accomplish. I think it's poor sportsmanship to sit there and complain about something you may not have tried, might not understand, or are just plain mad at the fact that another player found a club that works for them and not yourself. If there hadn't been a huge influx of the longer putters on the PGA Tour and multiple winners with it nobody would even care. One thing I don't understand about this thread and so many of the negative posts is why? Why are people so negative? Why can't guys be supportive and happy for someone who has found a putter that works? It makes the game more enjoyable for others and helps speed up play. Im starting to get the feeling that most of the anti belly/long putter guys have an attitude of "I'm better than you because I use a short putter and you use a long putter." It's pretty sad really... By the way, I use a short putter (35") but I've tried a belly putter myself, and I think it works well actually. I support those guys that want to use one to improve their game!
  18. Im curious, how many of you anti belly/long putter people have actually tried one???
  19. MOST amateur golfers overlook getting fitted for a putter. Its extremely important and invaluable if you ask me. I was once one of those putter "collectors" and they happened to be the $300 Scotty Camerons too… Haha, ive since become a little wiser and frugal and invested more of my money in lessons, rather than equipment. Ive also sold off all of my Scotty Cameron putters except the one that I was fitted to. Until you figure out if you need a heavy weighted putter or a center shaft or toe balance or face ballanced putter you have no clue what type of putter will actually work for you. Once I did, it changed my game forever! I literally dropped about 5-8 strokes a round off my game. I game a Nike Method because I love how solid the ball comes off the face. It rolls true, and my distance control is locked in. My "$300" Scotty Cameron is actually my backup putter… Its also for sale... Hahaha PRICE should have nothing to do with choosing a putter. You go for feel. PERIOD!!
  20. Buy a belly putter… iacas doesn't like them, so it should work perfectly!! Hahaha
  21. Brand New Nike Method DRoNE belly putter. 43" I couldn't find one in the stores locally to try so I just bought one as an experiment. I didn't like it like I thought I would. MSRP is $227… And I know there going for $189 at several stores, So make me a reasonable offer... Im willing to take a loss on it (not that I have a choice) rather than let it collect dust in my office. Dont be shy. Thanks.
  22. I was gonna say try a Nike Method, but it looks like you got a great deal on another good putter, so congrats! And enjoy!
  23. Why dont we just outlaw certain putting grips then while we're at it…? Gotta have uniformity, right? I think the claw is unfair… please...(rolls eyes)
  24. I guess he ruffled your feathers there oh wise God of the golf intraweb forums... It seems lie anytime anyone disagrees with you or has an opinion you don't like you make it a point to discredit them right away. Happens more often than not around here. I happen to agree with him. And since you tried to tell me I didn't make an argument, which I did, but let me clarify it for you: using a belly putter is no more of an advantage than using an adjustable driver. THERE! Is that worded simple enough for you?
  25. "anchored" Hahahahahahaha. Psshh, You heard Nick Faldo whining about it on Golf channel, that's where you "heard" it. My argument still stands... If belly putters are illegal then so are adjustable drivers...
