  1. I don't mind it as long as they don't blow smoke in my face. You need to have fair boundaries with things like that. It's legal, but it can be rude if someone is blowing it in your face
  2. I've killed a bird midair. I was playing a par three that had powerlines hanging over it and a bird was sitting there. Hit it square in the head.
  3. That's... Astounding.... I've never seen a drive below 240 before..... Maybe I'm just not paying attention on the range to the people around me. I know the people who say it's 240 are hitting it 240. They use the same methods of measuring that I do....
  4. You sir, know your stuff. I'm impressed
  5. Shot 70 today on a par 72. Meh.
  6. R300 Kbs Tour 90 Uniflex Kbs Tour Project X 5.0
  7. I don't have to eliminate it completely. I just want a perfectly neutral face. The R9(At least mine anyway,) is a degree open even when neutral.
  8. Thank all of you for replying. Once again, I'll try and answer every question. I can work the ball. yes. But I don't like to. When I do, I tend to fiddle around to much to test it, and I mess my swing up. And the infinite amount of configuration options on the R9 just aren't doing it for me. It's a great driver, just not for me. I looked at the MachSpeed. It looks offset to me. :P And as for my miss. My miss is low. A low, ugly(not big, but ugly), draw.
  9. I don't care what distance I have left. I'm very comfortable with all of my clubs and yardages. Except 230. I HATE that distance. Anyways, I play by margin for error. Take the blow up holes out.
  10. Wish I had an answer for you. Better equipment maybe? Increase in inherited talent?
  11. Sorry if this goes off topic, but what exactly does Pelz say about reading greens? How does he say you should do it? I'd like to know a few things he says before I buy the back.
  12. There's too much testosterone in here........
  13. Wow. I got a lot of replies. And yes, I am a kid. I know next to nothing about clubs. Sorry if that upsets any of you. I'll try and reply to everyone, if I miss someone, sorry. To the guy that said I shouldn't get rid of it. I won't actually get rid of it. I'll just get another driver, compare them, and see which one I like better. I just don't want to try like 20 million drivers. Because I refuse launch monitors, I'd have to pay to use the drivers on a range. To the guy asking me about my spin rates. I had a typo >.< Sorry. It's 3100. I apologize. Yes, I know a club fitter can tell me the best, most accurate information, however, I think it's fun to see the opinions of others. Some of you guys have great ideas. And yes, I DO have to work the R9. It's a mental block with me. If I get rid of the mental block, I'll be fine. But all the screws and weights and face angle changes and such just SCREAM workability to me.
  14. Nah. It wasn't that. He played D1 baseball in college, so he was fairly strong. He just couldn't putt. He seriously 5 and 6 putted
  15. Kbs spin rate and flight is in between PX and DG, I believe
  16. Part of that statement is false. My fitter personally knows the maker of Project X and KBS. They're close friends. He said he made KBS so it'd have a smoother, softer feel. Closer to a DG. It had nothing to do with the PX Being 'hard to hit'. To me, that doesn't even make sense. How can a shaft be hard to hit? Am I misunderstanding what you said? P.s. Thinking of switching to PX btw. I balloon the mess out of my KBS
  17. Ok. So. I have an R9 with a Tour Issue Aldila DVS in it. I LOVE this driver. Like. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. But there's one tiny problem... I don't like working the ball with the driver. It's not that I can't. I'm just uncomfortable with it. And frankly, I'm getting tired of taylormade. SO! My question is, which driver/shaft combo do you guys think would be the best idea for me? I want, Long, High, Flat, Low Spin, Not very much workability. NOT TAYLORMADE. If you need stats, tell me. But here are a few things you WILL need. I have a very fast tempo. Snap Release. Two Plane Swing. X-Stiff shaft. Between 60-75 gram shaft. Mid/High launch. Natural shot shape is a draw I don't generate much backspin(Around 2100)
  18. Wrong. I've put forging next to cast and I can tell the difference. I put a Mizuno next to a cast taylormade and, while the feel of the Taylormade wasn't bad, it paled in comparison to the Mizuno. I don't care what studies say. I, along with thousands of other golfers, have proven this to ourselves
  19. I never once said lifting weights led to 300 yard drives. Ever. It does help hit it further. But it won't automatically make you hit it 300 yards. The more muscle I gain, the better I swing, thus the better contact I make, thus the longer the drive. Notice I said I. I. I. I. As in, for me, gaining muscle and flexibility helps me play better.
  20. I know people like that. I've seen it. P.S. Swinging as hard as you can is the worst idea ever. :P What you said reminded me of that
  21. Ah. Apologies. You're talking about high handicap golfers. Oops.
  22. Yikes. Sounds like some winter rust to me. I'm sure you're better than that. I really feel like I can get on Tour. I've been playing for a little over 2 years. Only been taking lessons about 9 months. And I'm down to a 1.2. I can do just about everything in golf. Except putt. God I'm an awful putter. I've been averaging about 28 putts around. I know it sounds low, but it needs to be a LOT lower. Haha.
  23. ...Oops.... My bad.... :[ I thought it was talking about all golfers. Apologies for the rant.
  24. I need some clarification. First, I'll give you a story. I live in Middle Tennessee. One of the courses I play at has a 280 yard par 4. So I'm playing with about 12 of my friends, and two of my coaches. I'm on this hole, waiting for my friends to get off the green. With a three wood in my hand. A guy comes up behind me, screams at me for holding them up. "Sir, I can hit this green. I'm waiting for them to get off the green." "BULLSHIT! No one can hit a three wood that straight 280 yards!"(The hole is lined with trees). Ok. So, I drove the green. He shit himself. What I DO NOT understand, is why you people think a person cannot hit a ball over 300 yards. The same buddies I played with that day average about 290-320(Depending on the person), in distance. We use rangefinders, GPS systems, hole yardages, and our feet, to make sure we have the most accurate distances possible. HOWEVER, we train everyday. As in, we kill ourselves working out, so we can get stronger, and more flexible. Here is my statement. A person who trains himself by working on his strength and flexibility daily, and practices daily, can routinely hit a ball over 300 yards. Sorry. But It's true. I WILL NOT say how far I hit the ball on average. Because with the mindset most of you have, you won't believe it. Oh, and I'll just be generic and not give you proof. You shouldn't need it. End of rant.
  25. My friends age group is from 14-17. All of us(About 20 people) shoot 75 or below. It's not that astonishing
