  1. You hit it dead on. If I had to say one thing about my swing is it's inconsistent. I can hit great shots, but most of the time it's all over the place...draw, slice, fat, thin...it's almost a crap shoot. I'll try to rotate more and keep my arm straight. Thanks!
  2. Due to winter, I took a few months off. May not be a bad thing, as I get to refresh myself with proper technique...as opposed to what I was using. I've only been playing for about a year now, started before I got married, as our wedding package included a free round... I've had help from 2 friends of mine, neither of which can break 100, so I hope I haven't picked up their bad habits. Thoughts? Thanks. Seems as though I can't get my video to embed. So, please click http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt143/cwsample/1901c854.mp4
  3. My new wife and I are looking for a place to play in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Any ideas? We are staying at the Azul Sensatori resort, just south of Cancun. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
  4. Just so everyones knows, it was an awesome course. The wedding was beautiful and the course was challening. Look for another post to see where my wife and I are now...
  5. I bought a Nike Pro Combo Sunday Bag off eBay for about $40 a few weeks ago that works well for me. It's really light, but can also hold a full set of clubs. It only has 3 horizontal dividers though.
  6. I was on a paintball team in high school...we never did speedball, though, just woods ball. We played just about every weekend and it was a lot of fun. If you haven't done it, I would suggest trying it. It's a lot more difficult that you may think. The re-enactment games are fun too.
  7. I'm getting married next weekend at The Club at Runaway Bay. Part of the wedding package is that all the groomsman get a free round of golf. Has anyone played this course? Looking for some insight before we head out there. Thanks.
  8. Apparently I have been leaning forward on my downswing, so I'm focusing on being more upright. I think this may have something to do with not being able to consistently hit my driver off the tee. I usually clip the underside of the ball...
  9. I've also heard that choking down on the grip with change the speed of the clubhead and affect your distance. I don't think it has anything to do with a slice, though. I had this issue for awhile and I fixed it by focusing on how much my wrists are rotating on the downswing. Do a nice slow swing and look at the angle of the clubhead on the moment of impact. If it's open instead of square, you're going to slice.
  10. I had been to the driving range 3 times before my first round of 9 holes on Saturday. I was with 2 other people that had played before, and I brought up the rear with 57. I had a blast though. The bug has bit me and I can't wait to get back out there again!
  11. I love Tiger's swing. I could watch videos of that all day. Plus, his famous chip shot into the hole is epic.
  12. I'm a Graduate Student at the University of Texas at Arlington. I'm studying to be a music teacher.
