  1. My equipment is DIALED in. Except I want to play ONE ball consistently this coming season. I have a somewhat slow swing speed 91mph...Why is it I've ALWAYS gotten better distance with 3 piece balls vs. 2 piece (distance) balls? I LOVE the Black Max, Ben Hogan Tour Deep, Callaway HX, and One Black. But from what I've gathered, I don't have a high enough swing speed to take advantage of these Tour balls. Yet, out on the course - I hit the shit out of these, while the Big Berthas, Mojos, Red Maxs, and Noodles, seem to come up 10 - 20 yards shorter. What is going on here? I am aware of the "straightening" properties of a third layer in a ball. But even the 3-piece Wilson PX3, Nike Ignite, Callaway HX-Hot, Bridgestone E6, seem to come up shorter. The Tour balls seem to spring off faster...I can't afford $45 a box. The Black Max is nice at $30, and so is the Hogan Tour Deep. Any thought on these balls? Am I missing something? Have any of you gotten on a launch monitor with several ball choices and found one to have the perfect launch conditions? Thanks in advance...
  2. TONS!!! ...get fitted. Money well spent. I mean it. Don't keep scrolling down looking for the answer you want. this is the answer you needed. Get fit. GO.
  3. Stay AWAY from these....They all suck. Look at the R5 for a cheap TM driver. Go on Dick's webstie if you need a "cheap" T.M. driver. None of these frivers are over 420 cc's don't sell yourself short wit a driver with a volume and MOI from 2002!
  4. Callaway FT-i driver Nike SUMO SQ driver TM TP-Red golf balls Cleveland HiBore XL driver
  5. F-n Awesome!!!! I Had a Callaway X and the HiBore is not any longer - but WAAAAAAAAY straighter and easier to get airborne. I've tried them all. I like this club better than the HiBore rescue or driver! and I have both! I went with a 5 wood in the hi-bore instead of a 3 wood this time. It paid off.
  6. NO What is the loft of your pw? If its 46 then you have a HUGE gap. Buy one less wedge and fill out accordingly. My 9 iron is 42, PW is 46 degrees, I carry 3 wedges... 50, 54, 58. See? nice 4 degree increments all along. If I'm in-between clubs I take a little off the longer wedge.
  7. Cleveland should snag up a ball manufacturer the way T.M snagged Maxfli, and Callaway snagged top-flite, a cleveland ball wouls be cool.
  8. The CG 11 is AWESOME, you MUST have a gap wedge (50), and sand wedge (54) in this club. I wish I had bought the CG 10 for my lob wedge (58) because it is a tad easier to flop open. DO NOT buy ANY 3-dot (high bounce options). The black finish is awesome too. The CG 10 and 11 feel identical, but the 11 is easier to control in my opinion. YOU CANT GO WRONG with these... In the last two years I've gone through 4 or 5 wedge sets till I hit on these and I'm SET now. I had a set (GW - LW) of T.M. RAC's, Cleveland 588's, Titleist Vokeys, Wilson Staffs, and Callaway Forged+'s. The only ones that came close were the Callaway's.
  9. OK... #1 Paul Casey....Douchebag times 10 #2 Phil Mickelson....Entitled Fatso #3 Any European player that "...should have won a major by now..."
