My equipment is DIALED in. Except I want to play ONE ball consistently this coming season. I have a somewhat slow swing speed 91mph...Why is it I've ALWAYS gotten better distance with 3 piece balls vs. 2 piece (distance) balls? I LOVE the Black Max, Ben Hogan Tour Deep, Callaway HX, and One Black. But from what I've gathered, I don't have a high enough swing speed to take advantage of these Tour balls. Yet, out on the course - I hit the shit out of these, while the Big Berthas, Mojos, Red Maxs, and Noodles, seem to come up 10 - 20 yards shorter. What is going on here? I am aware of the "straightening" properties of a third layer in a ball. But even the 3-piece Wilson PX3, Nike Ignite, Callaway HX-Hot, Bridgestone E6, seem to come up shorter. The Tour balls seem to spring off faster...I can't afford $45 a box. The Black Max is nice at $30, and so is the Hogan Tour Deep. Any thought on these balls? Am I missing something? Have any of you gotten on a launch monitor with several ball choices and found one to have the perfect launch conditions? Thanks in advance...
