The question isn't what would you rather do repeatedly.. for the rest of time. it's which one you'd want to have either first. I would rather have an ace.. it's just a memorable moment in life.. probably something you'll always remember, a story to tell the grand kids.. I doubt a story of how you shot even par is a very interesting story to tell the grandkids.. especially since that would probably mean you are pretty consistent and good, and will likely shoot even par a few times to many many times going forward.. the achievement of shooting scratch is a result of dedication, but to have something happen ONCE.. i'll take the ace..

I draw a line on my ball with a marker, as a result i have these black ink spots on my irons.. any way to remove these without too much damage>

I've hit about 4 red/white staked trees that have ended up middle of the fairway / first cut... when you hit it out there enough, good things bound to happen. ;)

A course that forces me to leave and not give me my money back for no reason is not SOL.. it's a reason for a law suit ;)

what if the whole bunker is covered in water? and there's no where IN the bunker to drop where u don't have water? bad drainage ok.. but what's the rule/play?

I'm in for $20.. and i'm good with 10-12 total as well. again would vote to exchange the 3rd WR to a flex wr/rb/te position. but not critical or anything.

I have a 21.2 handicap now.. having been away for a few years from the game. my all time best score was 87 (+15).. Today after work, went out and shot 81.. (+9).. not even sure what happened or how i shaved 6 shots off my all time best and not even close to my handicap.. but that was fun. first time at 81 first time back to back birdies.. man golf can be this much fun? :)

I'm good with 4 or 6 for passing TD. i prefer a flex spot instead of 3 WR, just adds a little more flexibility :) but im' good with anything.. will adapt draft strategy with whatever we go with

Cool.. follow up - what IF - when i place the ball where it first hits the course, it rolls down the hill (it was a pretty steep area)..?

The ball came to rest near the cart path.. with hills rolling off the nearest point. if i drop, it will inevitably roll about 10 yards down, and onto the fairway (hey bonus!) I didn't really know what to do, so i hit it while standing on the cart path b/c i didn't want to take a free drop in error. Question is: if the drop lands, and rolls down the hill at the NPR, am i still entitled to the drop even though it improves my lie greatly? (it doesn't roll closer to the hole, just in parallel down a hill towards fairway). Thanks!

First time ever breaking 40 for 9 holes! I'm a pretty casual player but man facing a 8ft putt and knowing i needed it to get 39 (3 over) for the front 9 was nerve wrecking.. made it curl in! Probably was too high from that, and fell apart for 3-4 holes (double, triple, double, double), before picking it back up a bit.. but still shot 87 total which is pretty decent given my 20 cap.. but man, what a thrill for the front 9.. 3 bogeys and 6 straight pars.. so THAT's what golf should feel like huh.. ;)

Thanks for the comments folks. Last night, went out and hit about 100 balls using mainly just the W, 9i etc.. tested out the longer irons just to see distance etc.. but focus was on smooth/easy swing. Balls were pure/straight.. in love. (Had 2009 Burners before, so the feel is greatly improved). I do think i lose about 3-5 yars per club in the 6/7/8 iron range, so i'm not sure the huge difference it will translate on the course yet.. a 8i used to go 155, now goes 150.. will it impact things greatly? who knows.. but the feel is great. Looking forward to more practicin'..

Just took delivery of a set of fitted Ping i20.. (+.25inch, blue dot, corded grips).. I'm slicing/thinning the heck out of every ball i hit.. how long before one gets used to a new set of clubs? That or maybe i wasn't warmed up so maybe hit a few more buckets and see?

Hoping to seek some advice on how to 'fix' if possible.. I find that when i'm fresh, i stay down on my rotation, hit balls flush, drives go straight, irons go straight with a slight draw. played this past weekend with a back ache.. can't seem to stop hitting pitches thin, straight pulling almost everything left.. (43% drives missed left, 1 drive missed right). How do you 'fix' it, b/c even when i tell myself to stay aligned, my back naturally tenses and i pull up, arms come out, and PULL.. :( Any ideas much appreciated!

I'm in.. i was the winner from the league back in 2011.. it was all for fun tho, so didn't 'win' anything. i would suggest we put up some sort of ante, b/c what happened was people stopped caring and never updated their weekly rosters etc.. it became kinda silly
