  1. This is one of my major flaws. I get the hands too far behind me. I feel like my right hip starts back too quickly, leaving an easy path for the hands to get way inside. I sometimes feel like I should restrict the hip turn to prevent this from happening. What shoud I work on to get the proper turn you show, rather than the second image of way inside? Thanks.
  2. Why was I given an avatar that I didn't select? I replaced it tonight when I got home from work. I never had an avatar, yet there was a photo of a man that I never posted or authorized. I also went to close the listing when I got home from work, only to find that done, too. What's going on?
  3. Sorry, I just sold them. I stopped checking here after getting jerked around by a couple of potential buyers.
  4. They have been sold.
  5. No,sorry.
  6. For sale is a short set of Titleist AP1 710 irons. They are standard length and lie and are right handed. The set consists of 6 irons- 6-gw. They come with upgraded Aldila VS Proto 85g graphite shafts in R flex. They have upgrade Lamkin white grips. The clubs were used for 6 or 7 rounds and are in great shape. They were an experiment when I injured my wrist, but hit too high for my swing. These sell for $125 a club new. I am asking $275 plus shipping. I also have an Adams Idea Pro 4 hybrid and A7 5 hybrid for sale at $20 each if irons purchased. Please note these hybrids may not be available, as they are also listed with some CB2 irons I am selling.
  7. These are right handed clubs.
  8. For sale is a like new short set of Adams CB2 irons. The set consists of the 6 iron through gw, for a total of 6 irons. I also have a demo 6 iron that I can include. These clubs were used twice. They are right handed, standard length and lie and have the KBS90 shaft in R flex. I love the look and feel of these irons, but need a different shaft for my swing. Price is $275 plus shipping. I also have an Idea Pro 4 hybrid and/or an A7 5 hybrid available at $20 each if irons purchased. I don't have pics presently, but can take some with my phone and forward them upon request.
  9. What a fabulous game! The U.S.A. showed they are for real, though I'm sure that's little consolation to the players. How about Crosby? What does he do for an encore? How about another Cup here in Pittsburgh! Congratulations to Canada.
  10. The R7's look better, feel great and are fine for our handicap. The T Step shaft is o.k., but does hit the ball high. I don't like the looks of the X20, and hate uniflex shafts. Callaway has great customer service, however, if you have any club issues. You may want to also look at the X20 Tours. They look much nicer than the X20's, are not much harder to hit and have better available shaft options. A friend of mine with a similar HC has these and really likes them. Check out Callaway Preowned.
  11. The Czechs look really good so far. Russia and Canada-too many stars, not enough pucks? It's hard to find cohesiveness in a week, but other than the Sharks line, Canada is still searching for some chemistry.
  12. I bought a couple things from them, without any problem. I always read the feedback carefully before buying from an EBAY seller.
  13. It will be fun to watch. None of Canada's goalies have been particularly sharp in the last couple weeks. All 3 can be phenomenal when they are on, but so can the goalies for Russia, Sweden and USA. You have to wonder whether any of them will stand on their head and steal the show.
  14. It seems slow compared to mine! In all seriousness, your tempo IMO appears to be average. I'm no expert, but you have a nice tempo to your backswing. Mine is too quick- I'm working on making it smoother. I just read in one of the golf magazines to imagine your downswing like a roller coaster. It reaches it's fastest point at the bottom of the hill. Leadbetter says in March 2010 G.D. to make the 1st part of your downswing as smooth as last part of downswing. Club should pick up speed as it moves through impact, according to Leadbetter.
  15. Crosby has matured into the best 2 way player in the NHL. He has 41 goals already this year, the Pens' power play has been terrible and he doesn't have the same caliber of surrounding talent on his line as does Ovechkin. Ovechkin is the best offensive player in the league, however. His propensity to run players from behind and to regularly commit charging penalties that the officials ignore doesn't endear him to anyone outside of D.C. Crosby has class and by all accounts is really a good guy. We have been extremely fortunate here in Pittsburgh to have seen some of the best players in the world on a regular basis for decades.
  16. I believe that lower torque shafts are beneficial not only to people with high swing speeds but also to people who swing fast(quick tempo). I don't have a high swing speed, but my tempo is very quick. I have had best results with the V2 shaft. My swing is also compact, and I read that a tip stiff, lower torque shaft is better for those with a compact swing.
  17. TM200 or V Steel.
  18. Rather than clones, check out Callaway Golf Preowned. You can probably get a nice set of Callaway irons -either the 20's or 18's- for a good price. Ping G5's are a cheaper option than the G15's, and it's hard to go wrong with Ping. You might also check out Wilson Staff D7 or D9, and as someone else mentioned, Adams makes great clubs. I am a 12, and play the R7's as well as Ping G2's. While the G2's are thicker and more offset than I might like, I shoot my best rounds with them and will never get rid of them. They may go to the backup set on occasion, but have a way of returning to the main bag. Play whatever clubs you hit the best consistently. You will have more fun.
  19. Thanks. I generally play 10.5* drivers, but have an opportunity to pick up a 9.5* with an upgraded shaft. I had great results, distance wise, with a 9* Cobra SZ460 years ago. It was so closed, however, that I couldn't get comfortable setting up with it. I tried an F Speed 10.5* with mixed results. I hated the sound of the last couple models. The S9-1F looks nice and is better on sound. We have had so much snow over the last week that I can't get anywhere with a L.M. to check out the launch angle with a 9.5.
  20. Anxiously waiting. Still kicking myself for not making it in September.
  21. Does the S9-1F play true to loft, or is it like most other Cobra drivers and launch higher than states loft? How are the stock shafts? I normally play R flex, but the stock R was very whippy, IMO. I don't have a high SS(90), but have a short, compact backswing and fast tempo. Would I be better with the S flex in stock, or a more tip stiff R flex custom shaft. Any advice is appreciated.
  22. The biggest problem with S&T; is the lack of qualified instructors who understand it. I have encountered more pro's who have bad mouthed the swing pattern, primarily, IMO, out of ignorance. I have toyed with it off and on since the Fall of 2008, and am anxious to get instruction from a knowledgable pro. We seem to have some very capable experts here in Western PA, if only this damn weather would break. From my personal experience, the driver swing is probably the hardest concept to grasp without hands on instruction. I also have difficulty pushing the hips forward while keeping my head in place. I end up lunging forward. May be inadequate flexibility, or I may just need an expert's eye.
  23. Global Golf have some available. They also have free shipping on orders $99 and over for Valentine's Day. I would love to pick one up, but I have to sell off some others first.
  24. I first saw them at the golf show in Pittsburgh. Picked up a couple and really liked them. I later found them at Golf Galaxy. I chip across my yard regularly- sometimes into my neighbor's yard. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but my neighbor is understanding. These balls IMO are the best practice balls.
  25. What are some likely causes and fixes for lunging at the ball? I will go to the range and hit a number of good shots. Suddenly, I will feel myself lunging at the ball, with the inevitable sh*** happening. It usually first occurs with a 5 or 6 iron, and then seems to travel throughout the bag. I have alternated between a Graves Golf/Moe Norman single axis swing, a rotational /Hogan/Slicefixer swing (for those of you familiar with Golf WRX) and a S&T; swing/ Sean Foley swing. I know that I need to stick with one style, but the lunge doesn't seem to be peculiar to any particular style. I also recognize that video would be of benefit, but don't have ability to do that now. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. I'm trying to be patient, and hope to get to Golf Evolution for a lesson or class, but Spring seems far away right now. Thanks.
