  1. Went to the range the other day heres my pitching wedge. Having trouble making a consistent swing. I feel as though the fact that I tend to bend my arm at the top of the backswing may be the culprit here.
  2. do everything righty except golf and baseball. Not sure why but thats how its always been. I do notice I have a lot of control as my right arm is dominate And this day in age getting equipment as a lefty is really not impossible thanks to the internet. You can't however try most clubs at a local store which is a bumer, but also saves my wallet :)
  3. Oh and another thing if you hit your ball in the rough and its a terrible lie or you hit your ball on a bad part of the fairway theres no harm in moving the ball to a better spot. After all its not the PGA Tour its just for fun and this stage that should be one less thing to beat yourself up over
  4. I just started this summer and completely sell taught so far. It does take a little longer to pick up fundamentals on your own vs lessons. I would suggest you pick up a copy of phil mickelsons secrets to the short game. this helped my game tremendously and rather quickly. I would also suggest a book called the modern fundamentals of golf by ben hogan, it really helped my game and now i am consistenly breaking 100 and getting lower. Best way to learn is just get out there. the driving range helps but it really doesn't compare to the real thing.
  5. honestly if you look around you could find a used jacobsen mower for
  6. I prefer contacts to glasses. In fact glasses make me dizzy because I use my peripherals all the time and with glasses only your vision directly in front of you in enhanced.
  7. Are they bad for the clubs? I have heard mixed feelings some say they destroy the groves some say they don't. I really like to use them while im playing to get the club clean quick when a towel doesn't do the job.
  8. My issue is my hands sweat all the time not just when its hot just all the time its a genetic thing that I got from my mom. With my current grips sometimes the club slips out of my hand. And if I wear a glove its done after a round because its drenched with sweat.
  9. I have sweaty hands and I'm looking for new grips that don't slide around and will stay put. I was looking at the tour velvets but I read a review that said not so good for sweaty hands. I'm not looking to spend more then $4 a grip either.
  10. Hey guys whats up been lurking around here for a few weeks now and I have been looking for a pro to take a few lessons particularly in newhaven/fairfield county area. I been thinking about going to the golf center in shelton or orange hills in orange. Anyone been either of these places and like it?
  11. For me school was one of those things I just had to learn my own discipline to do well
  12. This DVD really increased my consistency out of the bunker. Definatley a great video
